Somehow, I never noticed that fusing back with your shadow gives you an extra health point. I guess it’s more visible when you only have three to begin with.

Yes :) I used to think it was the health point that he picked up when he stole the potion in level 5, but you get the extra point whether the shadow picked up that potion or not.

The first guard in level 5 can be skipped. When you climb up to him, wait for your sword to draw out, then wait half a second, go back, grab the ledge when you fall, and climb up. He will fall down and you'll go up and then you can just continue on.

My best speed run (without level skipping) was still a rather shabby 24 minutes. I never figured out how to do the jump glitch on the guard on level 1 wasting a good minute and a half there. Also I haven't played this game for years... I should play it again.

I always wondered how come Fatty is considered a mid-boss, while the first guard on Level 8 is not. I believe he is the only guard in the game to have an attack pattern like that and he is the cause of many broken keyboards, I think.

The level 8 guard is definitely the hardest point in the game for me - his hesitant AI was a stroke of genius that really made him unique!

No difference! You're not meant to be able to pick the sword up, it's meant to disappear when you enter the screen for the second time - but in this run I avoid the trigger that removes it, so I have to pick it up myself to activate the shadow falling down from the ceiling.

@@wesleynascimento741 Então cara... Não tem como salvar não! :/ Nessa época os jogos nem sonhavam em ter save point. O único jeito de salvar é se você jogar em um emulador, ou de DOS ou de outra plataforma que tenha o jogo disponível, como Master System por exemplo, e o seu emulador tiver save state, entende? Na versão convencional para o DOS não tinha como, e nessa versão online do jogo que tem hoje em dia eu creio que não tenha também, não.. :S

Prince of Persia is awesome, played this on an 286 with VGA and Buzzer Sound, no need for GHz CPU and Graphicsaccelerators, only 16 well mixed colors (or 4 with CGA) and a good programmer was needed. Even if i never past Level 2 of the Game... I purchased a Disk with Version 1 and 2, but i need a cracked Version with endless Lives and endless Time ;) (Like Hocus Pocus)
