My favourite actor said 'disturb the comfortable and comfort the disturbed' that's what I think Prince did every day of his life. Walking on sand unsteady ground not knowing which direction he was going to take. What a ride ~ and the ride continues ... Feeling blessed 🤗 Get well soon Prince's Friend and on your feet (I sense you're still suffering) 🙇🙏💃💜

That's what art is all about, expressing yourself, making a difference, letting people know that the world could be a better place with compassion and without war. He expressed his views but didn't identify with a politician. So he was definitely not too political he just knew from a very early age how he wanted this world to be

Agreed. The thing I find where Prince is concerned is it seems that a lot of ‘fans’ wanted him to fit in their little box. When he stepped outside of it, and busted up their fantasy, it became a problem. JMO

Prince's Friend! I really enjoy your videos. I don't comment that much, because I don't really know if you actually see all of your comments. It would be kind of hard to answer everybody. Right? So that's why I don't comment too much. Anyway, I truly wish Prince was still here. I can only imagine what he would be doing right now. I bet it would be amazing. Prince is awesome! Call me biased, that's cool. I am a total Prince friend!!! I'm close to being 50 years old. If I'm blessed to live another 50 years I'd still feel the way I do now. Keep doing what you're doing. I think it's great. May you live to see the dawn. Peace, and be wild!

I'm not into politics too much, but over time, I had become more socially aware because its kinda hard to ignore all of the fuckery and just plain awful things that are happening in this political climate to my people and millions of Americans. I don't think Prince was too political, but then again I haven't heard all of his political songs. He was interested in the truth and getting to the bottom of things. He was woke as hell and that turned people off, because he knew so much and exposed the music industry and so many other things that ppl will scream illuminati and not actually take his words seriously. He was more than just an artist, he was an truth teller.

Golden Parachute, Dear Mr. Man, Family Name, Money Don't Matter 2Nite, SST, 1999, Baltimore, Mountains, Sign 'O The Times, Black Muse, Dolphin, Planet Earth, America, Sensuality, Free, Animal Kingdom, Cinnamon Girl, and a gang of other songs had political content in it, to varying degrees- from quick references to outright. i'm not sure why people think he GOT too political. He was talking about "stand up, organize" in the early 80s. You saw the 9-minute performance of 'America' in 1986, where he had the Pan-African flag in the background. Prince has ALWAYS been political. i have heard people feel some kind of way when he was more vocal about being African (Black) though. People wanted to keep him this racially ambiguous figure, stuck in 'Purple Rain'.

One reason I have had many say that they didn't like Prince because they thought he reached out to the women more than men with his way of dancing screaming and hunching the floor like he did a lot. And of course he talked to the women in the audience more too. And they have said they thought he was either gay or he really wanted to be a woman instead of a man. But I have heard many things people have said about him. But frankly, its their own fault because they are seriously missing out on great talent, great looking in every way, 😍😍🔥🔥💜💜 the greatest dancer, singer, songwriter and pure perfection in every thing he ever did. 🕊☔🙏😢💔💜🙌😍 O(+>

I have this iffy feeling that Princes singing and becoming "political ', may have led to his demise/death?? We will never know for sure, but, its almost like..they knew he was so powerful..and right..that he ultimately became a threat?? ..besides that..I loved his songs..he was always making us think..so u didnt have to agree with him to appreciate the music? I think that's what "separates" a lot of fams..I was the kind who was around from beginning to the end💜😇

Glad to u back, thanks for this video it's needed, yes I agree with your viewpoints u made, Prince was giving back to the community creating programs to help people, as he also co founded Black Lives Matters as his battles with Warner Fools to release his radical cuts to open people's mind to what is going on then as is now, there is so many people who tell me that I focus to much on the lies and ways of status society Prince showed me there was nothing wrong with being radical, yes he had the most sexy cuts, he had spiritual cuts, but the radical cuts is what freed my mind and those who are also Prince friends too this was 1980 with Party Up cut now there was an Funkadelic cut called Think It Illegal Yet,, came out 1978 that further the radical movement against status society then Prince comes in 1980 protesting it was jammed at parties turning them into protest rallies, Baltimore was very dangerous and still dangerous, Prince went to the front line with Black Lives Matters,,, I was an dj on air in 1988 to 1989 protesting police brutality got me put off air and banned to not dj was warned if I kept it up I was going to get banned by status society played all of Prince radical cuts on air got banned now police brutality still going Prince did not like this Baltimore happens with the other police killings leading up to Prince co founding Black Lives Matters to which I believe is why he was murdered with Darren Seals getting murdered six months later who also was an co founder of Black Lives Matters, Ice T,s kids lives was threatened after he put out Cop Killer in 1992 with Body Count,,, TuPac was born an Black Panther his parents are Black Panthers his murder still not solved, same with Prince his murder is not solved, Prince and TuPac,s messages are still real right now

The religion also had a lot to do with him stepping away from politics. Witnesses don’t get involved in politics and they don’t vote. They are not part of this world as mentioned somewhere in the Bible and interpreted by them. Though he did think about it, as noted in “A Colonized Mind” with lyrics such as: Upload: a two-party system The lesser of two dangers Illusion of choice Download: a veiled form of fascism Nothing really ever changes You never had a voice

How can living and learning as we all age keep a imperfect human from gaining more and more knowledge about everything around us plus when your able to share your views at the Mic especially, then why not let others know about what's and why's and how's so People can continue learning in Life, that's why we have Libraries to explore and learn different types of things. And again having a chance to speak about important things shouldn't ever become a Problem.

I love his song "America..it's such a prophetic song now isn't it?..if music makes you think deeply about social issues, that's not a crime. James Brown left a lasting musical legacy with his song, "I'm black and I'm proud! " It's not a new phenomenon. Art can initiate change in a positive and creative way. Good on him despite saying he's never voted. He was philanthropic and that's what really matters in the end. He gave back to society. We need artists that can question authority and look beyond the propaganda especially in this era of "fake news." 💜 Prince .

People who think others sucks because they are too political are simply stupid, and or too manipulated. Politic is what makes your life better or worse, and supposedly you should control it, as politicians should represent you, they are your employees.
@EmmyV20025 жыл бұрын
Yeah, but if musicians need to put politics into their songs, they need to craft it the best way possible so it's a grey area there tbh. Also, musicians are musicians, not politicians.

If you knew Prince, you'd know he didn't give a bleep what anybody thought of him. His entire life, people mocked him and criticised him. Yet he died a multimillionaire, adored by millions around the world. And he'll never be dated by any fashion because he created his own. The man was unique. Stood alone. (I'm sure you do know a lot about him, by the way. I wasn't saying otherwise)

Prince's Friend Respect. I really like what you're doing. Yes, Prince was fascinating. I collected his music and videos for 30+ years. Became friends with Rosie Gaines, and even got to email him once. I believe he named "The Rainbow Children" after something I said to him. I'll tell you the story if you like. If you could interview Rosie, I'd like that. She became very ill and had a terrible time with her daughter having a car crash. Levi Seacer Jr would be a good person to trace her with, they were friends before she knew Prince - he was in HER band, actually. Yes. Prince was incredible. My favourite musician, and he doesn't always get the credit for how funny he was as well. James Brown was named 'The Hardest Working Man in Showbusiness' but I'd give that moniker to Prince; by a country mile.

You are so right on when with the voting conversation - I can’t stand it when people say, “oh you have no right to say anything because you didn’t vote” - EVEN THOUGH I tried registering to vote a week ahead of time (and I’d already been registered before they purged my registration from not voting in the most recent elections before 2020) and when I did try, it turned out I needed to be registered TWO weeks ahead of time, so screw my vote I guess?? I knew I had to be early, but I wasn’t 14 days early, so I lost my right. This is specifically Alabama’s voting laws (as well as some other southern states), and it is obviously made to prevent lower income minorities from getting their votes in - because the GOP here knows they’re generally blue voters, and they want to make it as difficult as possible to change the political system here. It’s disgusting, and it’s a part of why these states have been red for so long. And here’s the KICKER, I’ve been requesting registration to vote ever since I was banned from the last election, it’s been months, and they still haven’t sent me my forms. I know some of you don’t see it this way, and nothing against y’all, but the GOP is evil, and while the Democratic Party has faults of their own, the Republicans have devolved into outright fascism with their blind support for Trump - an ultra capitalist neo fascist in disguise, who has mishandled our democracy in some of the worst ways. Some of these GOP morons are even talking about putting Christianity in law, which is obviously wrong and bad for democracy. I understand if you have to delete this to keep the peace, I’m just thinking out loud.

Didn't Prince realize that The black lives matter movement is actually a terrorist group that want to kill all white people and got upset when someone said "all lives matter"? That's a shocker for me, but you know what, it's too late. I still love him no matter what his politics are. He was so wholesome about his political messages especially about Children. It touched my heart. ❤

It's not the fact that he was too political....it's HOW he became political that has turned people off. I appreciate that he didn't vote in his younger years. I am by and large an anarchist myself. And I always thought it was brave of him to take that stance. However, after joining the JW, all of his political views shifted. Rather than being dubious of government as a whole, he adopted a much more traditional Democratic leftist stance on issues. And the company he kept (i.e. - Al Sharpton), annoyed many people. Not to mention openly supporting BLM. There are things he would have never done prior to joining JW. Speaking out AGAINST politics is just. Speaking out for one political side unanimously, only causes the national division that he fought against for the first 2/3 of his career.
