If anyone followed Prince and Mayte's time together, they would be able to pin point and remember everything from the beginning to the end in exact detail. I too am happy that she has Gia, who is such a sweet kid. Mayte also has a true compassion for helping animals.

It wasn't a sensationalized account at all. It was a sweet, sad love story, as most love stories are. She was SO young! Her activism in animal rights is why I'm a new fan of hers and why I relate to her so much.

I find it hard to watch this, so insensitive to brag about your newborn child while Mayte lost her children. Mayte is still their mother but dealing with the loss is so hard.. you would expect from a friend to show compassion and integrity especially when the conversation is about your child. She was actually the person who introduced me to my husband and was with me at my wedding. She is and was an awesome person. I told my husband before they he messed up in his first marriage because she was a good person but they were young when they got married and she is now happily remarried to a guy that was a friend of my husband's. My husband is happy for her. He put her through a lot and wasn't mature then...not very much now either to be honest...but he knows she's well taken of and I am very happy for her...she went through a lot in her marriage to my husband. It is possible to be friends and genuinely care about another person no matter the circumstances. My kids are also close to her as she was never able to have children...one thing I can say is she has my back in everything I have gone through. Also maybe there is some trauma bonding. When you go through a shared traumatic experience you feel like no one understands but the one other person on the planet who does. My first years being married to my husband were hard. He was hiding a drug addiction and was having affairs...she knew what I was going through and she had gone through similar years before...so I felt like I could talk to her and she just understood every feeling I had and did not judge me but supported through it. So I do think they are bonded as being the wives of a very complex man who was super famous and talented and also controlling and lived a strange life style.

No, he was not perfect and if you heard his interview with Oprah, he had emotional damage that cause his personality to split...the object was to love him for who he was and for them to grow together and overcome their issues. These women weren't made of this kind of stock or love. They went on to other "faulty" sponsors. Prince loved that girl, and she didn't know what love was enough to value it. Okay guys this is how I'm reading this. Prince probably may have ever cared about these women, but I don't really think he was all that in Love with them. He only got with Mayte because she was young and pretty. I believe Prince wanted children, this is why he got with these young women. After his first wife couldn't have those kids, he basically left. He married his second wife within a year later. He then stayed married to 2nd wife longer than he was married to Mayte. I think his second wife was a little more mature and demanding than Mayte. I think Prince had a underlining ailment he didn't know about, with conceiving a child, and his 2nd wife bounced. There was no reason for her to stay, cause she had 2 kids from Eric, FAST! After that prince move on to girlfriend number 3,4,5 and left Mayte still crying. I Said all that to say this, I really believe Prince wanted children, but I don't think he gave a damn who he had it with.
