When my grandma was moving out of the family house (too old, frail & lived alone) some of the family were clearing out the kitchen & found a jar of glycerine which had a Use By date of 1964. This was around 2011 when it was found. It had sat up high in the corner of a cupboard, for at least 45 years. It was still useable.
