I used to cycle around my neighborhood at night with friends, and I'd listen to them on my ipod and feel like i'm transported to another world lol those were fun times, thanks for bringing me back to those memories. I keep discovering new music through your channel, it's been awesome.

Decks Dark and the Present Tense from their last album Moon Shaped Pool are highly recommended! Also, a great version of the Present Tense is a video with just Thom, Jonny and CR78 ( or smth like that :))

Experimental Radiohead fan here. I understand this is not for everyone, and it's not meant to be, but I have to say I found this comment absolutely hilarious "does this compare to the likes of High and Dry? Absolutely not,far from it". LOL Look don't take me wrong, I mean no disrespect. It's just that the general Radiohead fan / art rock listener has the complete opposite opinion, including me. High and dry is a cheap candy bar and Lotus Flower is fine pastry. Albums like Kid A are gourmet restaurants and The Bends is a plain ol' McDonald's. You get the idea. It's still kind of refreshing to see the magic of subjectivity in music. Kudos for trying something outside your comfort zone.

Not the strongest song on a quite unpopular experimental album! When live Colin's bass changes this completely it's a bit better. However, Codex from this album is outstanding, very cinematic, I think they used it in the finale of West World, but I've not seen that.

Thanks! Yeah their experimental stuff isn't really my thing. Love Westworld.

love this song, but its been harder to connect with all the experimental stuff as you said since Kid A
@dannytheswedishmusixian15133 жыл бұрын
Yeah, did they dig themselves deeper into experimentalism after Kid A or did they return to more oldschool Radiohead? Or did they not release more albums?

@@MrTombre You need to dive back in, In Rainbows and A Moon Shaped Pool are IMO their 2 best albums, more traditional than Kid A and Amneisiac, they bring all their experiance, musicianship and class and lay it out, Thom and Jonny have both been nominated for oscars for their soundtrack work and in their last album they just bring it all together (Thom has been keeping his electro and experimentation stuff for his solo work since about 2008). In Rainbows is better than OK Computer, there, i said it.
