I love the way Adrian lays out his cards. It makes so much sense. Adrian Sullivan is a Magic player with high empathy. Why would he need to read his own cards after extensive testing? Make the information available to your opponents; it's just practical. a) Maybe I'm geeking out a little. b) I'm going to start doing this.

"Adrian plays upside down because that's just how he learned and we won't make him change that" ...except now you are by standardizing board layouts :/ the upside down lands are cool, i'd be super disappointed if i was told i couldnt do something like that anymore especially since it's only helping the opponent.

thecombinearecoming Only when being broadcasted (AKA in the feature match area), so it's still perfectly permitted at less competitive events :) ... However, I hope to see Adrian at many more PTs, so I'm sad to see that this rule is being effected.

so glad they standardized board layouts...I can't believe it took wizards this long. They shouldnt have let that old bastard play upside down, lands in front, just because he is a "vet" of the game. pissed me off when lsv used to do that too

It's high time WotC hired Cedric and Psulli. The protour commentary is pitiful. It may have been amusing in years past, now it's just plain sad.

MrGunwitch What are you talking about? Marshall was right, Eric cast Treasure Cruise right then. He was narrating the play. Which, by the way, is exactly what Cedric does. Cedric doesn't go much into lines of play, he mostly narrates what's happening. Ian correctly said that Adrian would counter the Treasure Cruise, which anyone would do and is not particularly insightful. It's just narrating the play. Marshall didn't do anything utterly wrong and Ian didn't "keep [him] in check."

Zachary Dunn To all but the neophtye, the comment is inane and redundant. Psulli or Cedric would've said something like: "Eric will use his treasure cruise here, but he can't be happy about casting it into open mana, and as we know, Adrian has the dissolve ready." It's clear from the comment and his tone of voice that Marshall thinks that the treasure cruise is some kind of trump. He either has no idea that Sullivan has the dissolve or has forgotten that he has it. No surprises here, as all throughout the PT he makes stupid and misleading comments. He seems like a nice guy but he lacks the technical skill to be commentating constructed at this level.

MrGunwitch what are you talking about? He was using that tone to portray casting treasure cruise as a big deal. He even stated the dissolve beforehand. You just sound like an SCG open fan boy. There is a reason they only comment SCG opens and Marshall comments the PT, he is just straight up better. He just is.

Snaker571 It wasn't a big deal, it was a pointless play, that that was lost on Marshall and yourself seemingly. The reality is, if you honestly believe that Marshall is a better commentator than Cedric and Psulli then you're either a beginner or a moron or perhaps some combination of the two.
