It's my pleasure. The 71 Chevelle has always been a dream car of mine so I might as well share my journey and experiences with others. I plan to make more of an effort to upload more, especially in the summer when the snow is gone. Thank's for your support.

Yes I am satisfied. The original bucket seats just had no lateral support at all, so during heavy cornering you slid around a lot. The ProCar seats offer the most support with a look that best matches the muscle car era. Plus they are 40 lbs lighter than the originals.

I’m thinking about putting these in my 72 chevelle but concerned they may make me sit too high. I’m 6’2’ and these look thick on the seat. What do you think for your old ones to these ?

They do sit quite high. I am 5-11, and with my helmet it's basically to the roof. If you have some fabrication skills you could probably find a way to get the brackets lower and still be adjustable, but that might gain you about 1". The bolsters are snug, but I am not a wide guy either. Having said that, I've had some big guys, like 6-4" and it wasn't an issue. For me the bolsters were needed as I road race it. If I was just street driving and drag racing, I likely wouldn't have changed.

@bradmiller200 I just installed a pair in my 72' Chevelle and I'm 6'4. 😂 They do work with the height modification as my guy said in the video. Other then that, Summit did really well on the quality. They're better then that oem seat, for sure!!!!!!!! They recline.

@@SS454LS6 I took the time on mine to weld new mounting tabs onto the seat frame and cut them down shorter. I was able to gain 1" and it made a HUGE difference in how I feel in the car. If it's not something you have the fabrication skill to do, you might consider talking to a local fabrication shop and spend the money - it is worth it every time you get in the car.

How do you like the seats so far? Are they comfortable and good quality? Do they feel wide enough? Jegs sells a Rally XL 1000.

They are firmer than stock, but comfortable and feel like good quality. The width can be relative to the individual. They are pretty snug, but it fits me decently. I think for large people, it might be a tight squeeze. I like them a lot better than the factory buckets, that's for sure.

Thats good to hear. Ive got a bench seat in my 72. I'd love the factory bucket seats but can't find any that are in my price range. Rally 1000 are affordable and would still have a factory look to them.

How snug are these seats. I was looking at the xl rally's for my nova. Im 510 280.

they don't feel constricting, but they are definitely snug. Obviously if you can find a set to sit in it would be best, but I think for a big guy the seats might be too tight.

Pretty shitty quality for expensive seats if a person has to modify a bunch of stuff to make them fit and work. They should come were all you should do is install, that’s it.

The frames could be better, I agree. I don't think I would call them expensive seats though. Not when compared to a Sparco or Recaro.
