I loved every minute of this, thanks for uploading! I love seeing old techniques taken to extreme heights through human ingenuity, imagine if somehow you could show a medieval blacksmith moments like 6:20 or 10:02. Smashing glowing bits of metal into shape is something a medieval blacksmith understands, that poor person would literally believe we have harnessed the power of a God with that 8 tonne hammer!

Сам лично фрезеровал такие поковочные вставки на ручном фрезерном станке по разметке и проверке шаблонами в далекие семидесятые на ЯМЗ в ИШК 😂(инструментально штамповый корпус )

@@JuanCA8137На молотах с массой падающих частей должен быть шабот в 160 тонн.Под шабот ставят комплект скреплённых железнодорожных рессор и весь молот играет на них.Раньше ставили под шабот на бревна дуба прямоугольной формы и тогда молот не так прыгал

possibly done by a whole different factory - finish machining and forging are much different specialties. Many companies buy their forgings overseas and machine them elsewhere so they have better control over the most delicate part of the process.

I did it for a year tho i used to make pinions i worked so much overtime i was barely home working an 8 hour day was like a day off.- there was a shield on my press still - i worked there for a year and i'm not even kidding a company older than me burnt to the ground when i finally broke down and went to the doctors for an eye infection. fire started on a machine 30ft from where i worked. good money but seriously make your money and get out.

@@Shishizurui My son left due to some problems with co-workers. Prior to that he'd studied CAD at college and after he left he found a more suitable job doing CAD work which he seems to enjoy, so he's not working in the foundry any more.

Fui fabricante durante 20 años de moldes para el forjado de productos en acero y puedo decir que estoy maravillado con el proceso japonés, muy preciso y coordinando. Gracias a Dios, ni la precisión japonesa, ni la industrialización actual, han podido eliminar el talento humano y sus movimientos manuales únicos. Acá, el secreto para el excelente resultado obtenido, está en la preforma obtenida. Es difícil reemplazar con máquinas estos movimientos de los operarios para transformar una forma cilíndrica, en una forma pensada y calculada para que la prensa pueda distribuir suficientemente material en cada parte del molde final. Esa preforma, compacta las particulas para dar verdadera resistencia y plasticidad al acero. Todo el proceso es hermoso, pero el misterio y el secreto de la calidad del producto final, se encuentra alli, en la preforma. ( minutos 6-8)

Few people outside of Industry have the smallest clue of the huge amount of technology. materials, and energy required for their commercial products. I worked in railroad bearing manufacture, and the efforts were amazing
