I think that there should be a challenge where the weapon, sub, AND special get switched up every 30 seconds, or on every RESPAWN if the devs want chaos.

Doing it every 30 seconds would be cancer, lol. Imagine you're in the middle of a fight and your main weapon goes from carbon roller to E-liter, or your setting yourself up yo go in with ultra stamp and it changes to ink vac right before you press the button. Switching weapons every time you die would be neat though, or getting a different special each time you use one

I really hope that in the future they make Challenges a separate permanent rotation, kinda like how arcade works in Overwatch where the modes change daily but the maps rotate every 2 hours. It's so important for a game like Splatoon to have more casual modes for players who don't wanna do comp, but still want some variety!

For Splatoon 4: Some Challenges modes should be included as part of Turf War on casual, activating and deactivating randomly or even in rotation: Foggy Notion, Extreme Jump Battle,Swim It to Win It and fusion of these three . This would make the mode much more fun and random.

My theory is something like that is in the works. Salmon Run was weekend only in S2, and now its 24/7. I bet is Nintendo is seeing which challenges are most liked and will make challenges more available in S4.

If I had to guess, I imagine they didn't do infinite specials because it was a mode that got really old really fast. I already found it kind of annoying that they limit you to the weapons that have the special rather than replacing it for every weapon, since it means out of the 100+ weapons in this game you're only going to see like 5 of them. But imagine how much worse it would feel for variety if everyone basically had the same weapon because they can never turn their special off. An alternative that could be interesting is if exactly one player on each team had infinite special and they'd pass the ball amongst themselves somehow, but I'm not entirely sure how that could even work

I got a new challenge for you all. Dynamax: all players would play with the Dynamo Roller with each player being assigned 1/8 randomized buffs. One roller paints more, the vertical flicks goes farther, it rolls faster, it covers more turf, etc. What do you all think?

id like to see a challenge where you get random subs/specials. i wanna see stuff like liter/dart/reefslider for comedic reasons and maybe some extremely op combos as well. also wanna see one where every map and mode is in rotation at once so there is complete chaos. they already proved they can have more than 2 maps active at once with the last splatfest's tricolor rotation.

My theory for the reason why none of the challenges are really going for the fun, game changing ideas is due to the fact that this is technically Splatoon 3's league battle. They want the challenges to still keep some semblance of competitive legitimacy instead of delving into the chaos everyone wants.

out of all the challenges I only like 2 of them the rest just seem to be the modes of the game with a sort of clout system in place. the two i loved were the extreme jump since it adds another way to traverse with the higher jumps allowing for plays normally not able to be done and the second one being the rainmaker one where it buffs you instead of nerfing you a bit. With it also being different since it cuts the carry timer in half and making its charge shot more deadly in the right hands since it shoots three blasts. I just wish they (challenges) would be available for longer maybe kind of like how salmon run was back in splatoon 2 where theyd have it up for the weekend vs just 3 2 hour frames most of which im either asleep for or already at work :(

Might be a bit of a sensitive question, but I've been wondering about the mashing thing. You say you can't mash. Is it a physically can't thing like carpal tunnel or a knowledge thing? Since mashing is a skill that can be developed, you could search for techniques that better suit your style in order to mash faster. If it's a physical thing such a carpal tunnel, then yeah, I don't know what you can do outside of hoping nintendo finally puts proper accessibility options into the game for mashing weapons. I don't have physical issues to my wrist, so I have very limited knowledge on the subject, I do hope options are added to make mashing an option, though, since even if I'm pretty good at mashing and doing so on longer period of times, weapons like brush and squeezer cause a lot of wrist strain, so I can't imagine bad it must be with those with chronic pains.
