its so inspiring! you've def helped me find a proper workflow in procreate! i've had a hard time moving from photoshop and my shortcuts but thanks to you i'm finding my way around it! I'm wondering what you do with your lineart? Do you merge it with your layers (like wall) or do you keep it seperate?
@nikolailockertsen3 ай бұрын
@@jadeyucan Thank you. Happy to hear that :-) Have you started using QuickMenu yet. That is really a great replacement for shortcuts. Sometimes I keep my lineart, but most often when I want that more realistic look I merge it or just paint over it or erase it. Usually a combo.

The illustration is nice✨️ I have a question, when you go from greyscale to color, do you use a multiply layer for color, or do you turn the greyscale on and off...or do you adjust saturation and hue levels?
@nikolailockertsen Жыл бұрын
Thank you. I often use Overlay on top for getting the color started. Then merge that Overlay layer to every individual layer. Then from there I will paint with regular color and also do a Curves adjustment on layers as I proceed.

If you want to forcensomething into perspective, you just use Transfor, tool. Set it to Distort, then you can move the corners freely...into any perspective you choose 👍

I've tried and I still don't understand how to use layer. It's hard for me 😭
@nikolailockertsen6 ай бұрын
@@losenawikim8267 imagine layers as papers stacked on top of eachother, but perfectly transparent. You can have different parts of a full illustration on different layers. Like the background and a character is smart to have on seperate layers. That way you can adjust/transform just the character or cackground.

🎛 AI may be good at "rendering" parts like donuts or a cat fur, but AI will never build that idea from 0 just by pressing button. People don't understand that this is main point why ai will never replace artists. Not because ai can't generate hands correctly, but because ai can't tell a story. Just imagine how powerful AI can be in hands of this artist. AI can save hundreds and thousand of hours in perpective! Artists life is short - i would rather let them to paint ideas with AI, instead thousands hours rendering bushes on background.
