Thanks! No a computer is not needed. The OP-1 has everything you need but I like to use external effects because they sound better than the built in ones.

I bought it a couple of years back when I absolutely hated making music by the computer. It's a great little machine to get lost in. And the stuff I make on the OP-1 sounds a lot different from what I come up with in a DAW. I like it a lot! The built in reverb sucks imo so I apply my own (Valhalla Shimmer).
