Can you show a video of cleaning windows above porches in traditional style? 😃 feel there’s a lot I need to learn about doing that - but safer than how I currrently do 😅 Porches that aren’t flat and protrude outwards would be great content no one else has done yet 🙏🏽

Hi Peter, another great video, when I clean this type of conservatory I scrub the top then leave the water running then drag the crap down with a 18 inch squeegee, makes it a lot quicker

Do you have to rinse the frames from the very top? I'm just wondering because I thought that the idea of rinsing the window is to remove the loosened dirt from the window to prevent spotting, but I thought if you scrubbed the frames but didn't rinse them the loosened dirt would run down the glass.
@TradMan2 ай бұрын
Its good practice to rinse entire window top to bottom, just watch you don't get water in the air vents if it has, as this can cause run marks down the pane.

I find conservatory roofs take too long to charge accordingly. If I charged correctly, no one would go for it! 😅 I find most of the window cleaners I ask say that they quote £5 per panel on average. They hardly ever have a steep enough pitch to clear and drain effectively, leaving loads of dirt on the glass. I've tried using a squeegee to encourage the last of the dirt off but I haven't got the technique to avoid smears/lines. I'm tempted to modify a pole into a pressure washer lance with a jet/nozzle pointing backwards and just blast all of the dirt off and down quickly, followed by a pure water rinse. Have you or any of your viewers tried this? Love your videos and class advice!
@yoyo8958 ай бұрын
I've found the same and that's why I avoid clear glass conservatory roofs. Perspex type are not so bad but i still find the hourly rate is so much better on maintenance window cleans or gutter clears. I just agreed to do one for a new customer which I'm dreading but have set their expectations to just getting the green off and overall improving rather than perfect finish etc.

I've not tried a pressure washer personally. Yeah they can take a while to clean 😅

The gutter vac is very cool but I don't think it would work where I'm from in northern New Jersey so much to bring in the gutter plus you can't see what you're getting out or not I've seen one person have a big mirror attached to the top or a GoPro to see what they're doing. Also a lot of roofs are 40 to 50 ft around me
@TradMan9 ай бұрын
You can feel when the gutter is clear 😊 Also to double check you can put a go pro on a pole and see what's going on via the gopro app on your phone which you can also clamp to the pole. I have a video on that 👍🏻

It would be great if you could do a video of how you clean windows traditionally, off a pole, for top small windows that are leaded ? I can’t go up a ladder anymore and can’t think of how I’m going to do it without buying a pure water system that none of my customers want!! TIA

If it's not safe to get a ladder in about or too high then yeah absolutely I'll get the camera out. Usually send the client pictures once completed. How's things with yourself?
