As long as your vehicle came from the factory with a remote buttons (lock/unlock doors), you can program a new key with buttons.

This won’t work on a 2006 Honda Pilot? Seems like the process is very similar, but I see that this kit doesn’t work on the 2006 Pilot. Why is that? If I had my own replacement key, would the programmer in this video be able to program the transponder chip on my new replacement key to my Honda Pilot?

Nevertheless, you have the option to rent the UNEZ and program the key they purchase from another store, provided it is the correct key for their vehicle. The car had 3 keys pair to it he did two new keys which add up to 5 which is the max amount of keys allowed per car
