Love that Audi. What a classic and in such good shape. I rode in one as a kid. In its day they were so far ahead of their time, back when cars were way more unique to their maker than they are now. It’s a shame they are so rare and not coveted like some other more popular classics.

What a cool car, my family had a few of these when I was in my teens and they were old then. I have a 93 s4 and she’s a beast, This car is in great shape man, you have done well with it. Nothing else like it around for sure. Your videos are very good and well done. You keep posting I’ll keep watching

Glad you're back! I think I mentioned, my mom had an 86 Audi 5000s back in the day; these cars used to be everywhere but now you never see them...maybe they all got taken out during Cash for Clunkers? Before then, when I was in high school, my summer job boss had an early 80s Audi 5000 (the predecessor to your and my mom's cars). Now *that* is a car you never, ever see anymore

I'd bet you're right about the cash for clunkers. Either that, or they were donated to charities and then auctioned & salvaged. Sad times regardless!

I’ve been driving my 1987 Chevy C10 square body pretty regularly, I drive it whenever the weather’s nice. Because of that, I’ve been running into similar issues like what you’re experiencing, such as sensors going bad and new leaks developing. Overall though, the truck seems to be responding well to consistent and frequent driving, always starts and runs great. I like that you’re driving this car how it’s meant to be driven, always liked those old Audis.

That's awesome to hear, I like the look of those square bodies. Daily driving older vehicles makes almost any trip an occasion.

Mine setup was removed (Pressure accumulator and that setup you have) and a brake booster with engine vacuum replaced it.

I'll probably go that route if a major component ends up failing (booster or accumulator).

Can you provide a quick rundown of all the motors changed in the S3 HVAC? My wife's TTS has similar issues. We are currently stuck on defrost. I have changed the one on the passenger side that you changed with no luck. I still have to reset adaptations.

Welcome back! I always have enjoyed your content and am glad to see a new upload. Forgive me for being out of the loop, but where is the 300zx and the Cummins?

Thanks! I'm afraid both of those vehicles have been sold. It's for the best really. Now they're with new owners where they're getting used more frequently.

I've been driving an '87 Audi 5000S with a manual 5-speed daily for 13 years. It's been a great car. Very strong engine, great MPG. The climate control system is an over-engineered nightmare. I can't get any fresh outside air inside except by opening a window. Instead of simply opening a physical vent the climate control system works by vacuum lines operated by solenoids, which are controlled electronically by a digital control unit. If there is a vacuum leak, or a short, or a bad solenoid it's impossible to get fresh air through the vents. Many parts are no longer available and the system is a nightmare to troubleshoot. Audi builds a great car, but the climate control system is a horror.

For a channel called Practical Enthusiast, you seem to have very impractical vehicles, except the gsxr.
