Your PID tuning is the same thing as StingersSwarm's video! Plus, this style is becoming standard for tuning. Why I said this? I never heard my quad so snappy when I flip and I don't feel oscillation anymore. Beside that, I do recommand to do 2 increments when your tuning your PID. It suck, but if you want it perfect. You seriously don't have to tune again(until you update your firmware or hardware). I support this video! One other thing, if you increase your rate after you did your tune. it might throw it off alittle bit because you tune your PID to fit perfect with your rates. If not, You start to see small oscillation on P. That's when you flip, though. It does make sense on what I am saying. In other words, Tune your rates first, next is P, D then I. BANG! Everyone will be jealous at you.

HI JC, this not related to this PID tuning. Not sure where to post it. Just bought an Omnibus F3 Pro(bflight3.1.5) and set my yaw orientation to 190 so the usb port is sticking out to the right of my quad. When I test it to see in the GUI my pitch forward is switched it's going backward and same with my roll. is this a bug? thanks
@rl21097 жыл бұрын
Good info, presented in a way that EVEN RL can understand! Only difference is that instead of tattooing my final settings on my shoulder, I'll need 'em tatted on the back of my hands! :p

JC. I'm trying to convert joystick controls to helicopter real world controls with the collective, cyclic and pedals. Can you steer me in the right direction? I'm currently thinking of buying a phantom 4 with FPV. Thanks for all the time you spend teaching us.
@1337flite7 жыл бұрын
+Project Blue Falcon - JC it looks like your doing yaw turns when your working on roll/pitch P. I thought you'd be doing rolls to test roll P, and changing pitch to test pitch P? How does that work? Thanks for making and sharing your videos.
@ProjectBlueFalcon7 жыл бұрын
I'm just yawing to get turned around so its flying into it's own air to start the shuddering. Then I'm just keeping it at an angle and giving it about 60-70% throttle and holding it there so see how long it shudders. If it shudders for more than a second or two then I know P is too high. If it shudders for less than a second then the P is good.

what mode are you flying in the last flight footage?

My Quad flies pretty good with Stock Pids. Im not the kind of guy that likes to thinker too much. But i do need to set some time aside and try and make it fly even better if possible.
@ProjectBlueFalcon7 жыл бұрын
Honestly I fly on default PIDs all the time. Increasing the P can make it more responsive but I think the way we fly and doing things to avoid propwash and bounce back has more of an effect than a good tune.

shall i tune with airmode on or off?
@scottdurham77457 жыл бұрын
Airmode for sure on. Otherwise the flight controller is trying to level itself and you won't be able to tune it right.
@Maorifpv7 жыл бұрын
@Scott Durham i dont mean angle mode, airmode off will not put the quad in self level mode :)

Post your final PID so we know what your tweaking did to achieve the last video.

I actually ran out of sunlight, so the PIDs for the final flight footage is the same as the last screenshot of the PIDs I showed on screen.
