Finally bit the bullet n treated myself to a racing seat its miles better now, was using a fishing chair n i made some extension bars with cups to hold the chairs feet. Now i have seat that connects to steering wheel mount and iv made a little bracket that can hold my phone that has telemetry app for gt7 on it, slightly loosen wheel screw n slides away. Lined up perfectly with wheel on screen so its feels like you inside car. Next step i need to make a handbrake that i can add a cheap controller to so i can have a handbrake for wrc n drift. Bought some cheap water shoes that have tight fit n slim rubber sole so feet dont get soar n they dont clip other pedals like my trainers do. Cheap Mtb gloves work great with wheel too. Gonna start using my full face helmet soon to 😂

That intro with the 2 hair pins is pure nuts. I have some trouble with hair pins because of a lack of an ebrake lever. I'm currently relying on the B button on a TMX. Sometimes getting the right turn degree while holding a button doesn't work.

Exactly, mate! Plus with a handbrake, you can control how much you pull on the lever, which makes a huge difference. With a button, it’s all or nothing, no in-between.

How is your brake set up? Which rubber pads do you use for rally? I got those pedals from a GT3 enjoyer and think the brake is a bit too hard.

I know you probably don't want to divulge trade secrets but how on earth did you line up the bezels with nvidia surround as well as the bezel free kit, this has got to be the most difficult thing I've done in my life lmao. And then if you get this right, how do you go between games that have bezel correction. ☠️

Oh it's no secret at all mate😊 I didn't do anything special in Nvidia Surround. The only settings I do there is choose 7680x1440 at 120hz. As for the games, you have to make sure you do make some changes and it depends on the game. @ I just turned the NDP to zero and I prefer it other settings the same more control in tight corners. Yeah I seen at ADAC sim racing expo they showed the new load cell handbrake I can’t wait for someone to review as that and the shifter from Fanatec need an upgrade. Got my clubsport DD Plus coming can’t wait was awesome to see on invoice Corsair name.

@BeFreeBeHappyJC Lowering NDP can definitely make those tight corners feel smoother, great call! And yes, the handbrake is long overdue for an upgrade. It’s actually the only Fanatec product I haven't recommended to anyone. I’m confident the new one will be a big improvement, especially with Corsair involved now to help Fanatec get back on track!

For this stage, it took me around 10 to 15 runs to nail it like this 😊 But I guess the 15+ years of sim racing experience also help a bit 😁

@BeefWithTacos Great questions! To get started with higher-end sim racing gear, I’d say you’re looking at around $1,000-$1,500 for a solid setup (2k with a very good rig as well). That could include a Moza or Fanatec entry-level direct drive base, a compatible wheel, and decent pedals. As for getting them to work, it’s not very complex at all. Both brands provide software (like Moza Pit House or Fanatec Control Panel) that’s easy to use and helps you fine-tune settings like force feedback. It’s pretty much plug-and-play for most games. Once you have it set up, you’ll be good to go! Let me know if you’d like any specific recommendations. Happy to help! 😊

Game looks so amazing if you have a triplescreen setup. On VR its quite horrible actually, requires tons of engine tweaks to get rid of the horrible anti aliasing and DLSS blurry mess.

Great driving! Your steering wheel is cool but it seems too small and too heavy. You should try with a 350mm carbon steering wheel with only a qr2 and an emulator (ali...), it weighs less than 1200g in total, and it could make your turns less... "wide" 😊

I totally get the “light is right” philosophy, there’s definitely some merit to that in motorsport and sim racing. I guess it all comes down to personal preference and what feels most natural for the driver. But I do own several carbon fiber wheels already, the latest being the Bentley GT3 wheel fanatec.com/eu-en/steering-wheels/podium-steering-wheel-bentley-gt3?FAP+Banner&General+Links&a_aid=642e93a817bf2 As for the "right tool," I think it’s more about adapting to what you have.
