I started getting these symptoms in my hands in my 20s. They went away completely when I cut all animal products out of my diet in my mid- 30s. My inflammation level is insanely low now (40).

Hi Dr Hyman, I'm a big fan of your podcasts and am very grateful for all the helpful information that you put out there. I would love it if you could do a comprehensive episode on the functional medicine approach to treating Candida overgrowth and parasites and it would be great to hear about your experience treating these in your practice. Kind regards from Australia :)

I want to cry. I was an athlete for years, I also had big thighs but the rest of me was 4% body fat. Pain in my neck and knees began in my late 20s then I found outI had bone on bone arthritis in both knees by 32 and c spine arthritis. I had already been putt on a vegetarian diet by the dietician my OB/GYN sent me to for endometriosis (I know the opposite is supposed to happen). I had gut pain by 35 and was switched to a gluten free diet… I could go on forever ow at 65 I’ve had my 4th joint replacement and discovered I have EDS Hyper-mobility as do >25% of the my generation, our children’s and grandchildren’s generations. I can’t fix me but if there’s something to lower my pain level and help the young ones avoid half a life of pain and surgeries I would be grateful. We are in various states and across the pond. BTW how can you have bone on bone knees and then be fine? You can’t grow back cartilage etc.

I have COPD, on oxygen 24/7, 4 liters and my pain management doctor just recommended ozone therapy. I've been treating my osteoarthritis in my left shoulder for the last 3 years with oxycodone/acetaminophen 5/325 and recently tried the lubricating injections, which didn't help my pain. What do you think? Should I try this ozone therapy?

Dose this work for hip OA ? Xray shows ....Xray left hip 3 views: AP of the hip shows significant osteophytes with moderate to severe amount of joint space narrowing. There is sclerotic changes. Lateral view shows that along the anterior aspect of the hip joint, it is bone-on- bone. No acute changes. Cant walk more than 15 to 20min, pain level 7 or 8.

Ozone is a gas that is considered to be a respiratory irritant. Air pollution reports list ozone concentrations. How can you inject a gas into joints? I have a small ozone generator that I use to disinfect a rental apartment. Will breathing ozone help with the pain in my spine?
@lindawelburn914010 ай бұрын
They make the ozone in a small unit in the surgery and use tiny needles to inject it into the joint. Obviously they need to know where to put it!

I have severe osteo arthritis in my hands. Im desperate. What can help my hand pain? I can barely use my hands and fingers from all the pain in them. Steroid shots no longer work and I refuse to have my fingers fused and have rods put in them as they will never bend again and the rods are just as painful if not more painful from what others have told me that has had the rods put in their fingers and its not reversible once youve had it done. Ive had rods put in 3 of my toes and its more painful and it didnt fix a thing. I cant take Ibuprophen because it eats holes in my stomach and tylenol is worthless for osteo arthritis pain. Im so tired of being miserable and suffering everyday in pain. None of the natural injections like platlet rich plasma is fda approved so insurance doesn't pay for it and its too expensive for most seniors to pay for out if their pocket. Its really sad that there are things to help but our hands are tied because of the government so we are made to suffer our senior retirement years in severe pain. I'm so fed up with this twisted world.

If you suffer from arthritis, do your own research! Some suggestions: Google boron, diet, sugar, refined carbs, seed oils, vegetable oils, inflammation, PUFA's, omega 6, borax. Also interesting are: Silicon, antioxidants, magnesium, vitamin D3, vitamin K2, gut.

I am really suffering from osteoarthritis in my knees and back. It has been going on for over ten years. My doctors keep wanting me to do surgery and other extreme things but I have declined. I do take opiod pain meds, but no NAids and have lost 20 lbs. using Intermediate fasting and a Keto diet. Where ca I do these injections in WA state? Where can I get the Omega 3 SPM's? I walk everyday even though it hurts and my sleeping is affected. I am 67 and otherwise in good health. I do not want to live in pain for another 20 years. Please tell me insurance will cover these injections. I have been holding out for stem cell therapy, but this sounds more promising at the moment. thanks for this information...it is a very exciting for me .
