Still, most prophesies involve people doing things, armies winning battles, whole nations of people becoming immoral and, just individual people being born and doing things. People interpret much in the Old Testament as prophesizing that Jesus will appear at some point. That means that a whole series of people had to have their actions CONTROLLED (who they married and had children with, WHICH children they bore and had to raise) in order for it to eventually lead to the birth of Jesus.

Starting at 1:09 "it tells us that god actually designed them to live forever as humans that's why we've got such uh big brains." Apparently, the sperm whale has the biggest brain of any animal species, weighing up to 7-9 kilograms, and the human brain around 1.5 kilograms. Yet, sperm whales can live 70 years or more, pretty much as can humans. Hmmm.

Personally, I think that this story (as with much of the Bible in general) can be understood allegorically. That Adam and Eve were intended to never die and live in the garden forever represents our "innocent" unconscious or pre-conscious selves living in "paradise". As soon as we realize we are mortal (symbolized by the eating of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil) we realize our mortality, react in fear, and it spoils everything, symbolized by being ejected from the garden. Same goes for the covering themselves part. God asks who told you that you were naked (implying that somehow they were not aware of it before) is not necessarily about shame about sex per se, but what it represents - the need to reproduce in order to preserve the species. It is kind of Jungian in that sense. I would not be surprised if there were similar stories in many different cultures. The only one I know of is the Greek Pandora's Box one. So, saying that the bottom line is whether or not it's "true" is specious at best.

I blame the seedless fruit . Genesis 32 . God made all the trees with fruit with seeds . So therefore all seedless fruit is made by the devil , I'm fairly sure the believers don't even realize their holiness is compromised .

Genesis can't even decide on its own truth. It says woman was created from dust...and then, a few verses later, says she was made from man's rib. Also, Adam and Eve didn't know it was wrong to eat the fruit because they had no knowledge of right and wrong. Also, where exactly was this omniscient god when the serpent was in the garden offering apples? Also...oh, I'll be here all day so that's enough anomalies to be going on with.

@@cramerlong2276 Genesis has two different accounts of how people were made. In the first (1:26-27), it just says he made people, no mention of any specific people. Then in 2:7 there is a different account where Adam is made out of dust. It also says that animals were also made from dirt, but God somehow didn't realize at first but figured out, upon looking at the animals, that none would make a suitable 'helper' for Adam, so he stole one of his ribs in his sleep and somehow made a woman out of it. (2:20-22). Later on, God throws them out of the Garden of Eden because, not knowing any better, they ate an apple they weren't supposed to eat. And God is actually quoted as saying, "now that the man knows good from evil, he is like one of us" (us? Who's 'us'? ) And he says, 'I'd better expel them from the Garden because if they eat of the Tree of Life they'll live forever and we can't be having that.' Then Adam and Eve have two sons, Cain and Abel, and when they are young men,, I suppose,, Cain kills Abel and then when God sentences him to exile, Abel objects that other people will kill him. What other people? Where did all these people come from? How does this all make sense?

There is a third possibility. The story could be partially true. Maybe, when Satan tempted Eve, she said, "Get thee behind me Satan". That seems more likely, given that Eve was designed and made by God. God makes every effort to ensure his products are of the best possible quality.

So many people get the story wrong. Adam and Eve were *mortal*, the serpent is NOT Satan (Satan was not part of the mythology at the time), the serpent was right and God was lying. God tells them they will die if they ate the fruit and they didn't. They got kicked out of the garden, not because they disobeyed, but so that they would not be able to eat the fruit of the OTHER important tree in the Garden, the Tree of Life, which would have made them immortal, like gods.
