I went for a first date with Russian man. We had fun, have a blast, laugh and sharing until end of the date. Thought we had a connection. When I message him the next day, I have to wait longer then before then finally he answered me in a rude way. Then ghosted me. I think it's weird. For me, the most upsetting thing about dating Russian men is their obsession with women who don’t smoke or drink, just so they can bear a ‘healthy’ child. Like, the best thing you can offer them is being the mother of their kid. And the worst part, that doesn’t even guarantee they’ll stay with the family. After trapping you with the household stuff and babies, they’ll probably find a young, attractive woman who does drink and smoke and then lock her up too. This probably isn’t just about Russian men, it’s how patriarchal society works in general. To have a happy marriage here as a woman, you need to come from a good, wealthy, or at least supportive family. Either way, you’re forced to choose between being a good mother, a wife, or having a career. And if you end up alone, without wealth or a strong family, it’s hard to find a decent man because they all expect you to be their ideal ‘patriarchy dream wife.’ I mean, I get the logic, men provide money, women provide family, but we’re not living in the Middle Ages anymore. Still, patriarchy keeps trapping women in this system. And I know that a lot of Russian men probably wouldn't like to hear that.

Russian women are known for divorcing men for the fortune, after playing perfect all their lives. And same with my russian friends - all of them are from single parent households for that reason. Also alcoholism and low EQ from the forever on withdrawal symptoms men, make russian women much less likely to stay. Physical abuse against men and simply using them to beat someone else up is common in there too, so the women treat them more like tanks that can get destroyed than people. And Putin's people incarcerating people for commenting about his coworkers on VK for example. Keeping both parents in a city is quite a challenge there. 😬

Well as a Russian man it’s not straightforward like that. First Russian man open to international dating are often not the same people as some average Russian blue collar Ivan from working class neighbourhood. Second…generation matters and there is a difference btw generations(more than it”s in other countries). In general stereotypes are not always true people have been raised in different circumstances and generally becoming less dependent on “social culture” and social traditions of their homeland.

Simply, Russia is a patriarchal society, so male dominant. Your average independent Western woman wouldn't last 5 minutes there or 5 minutes with a Russian man. Ditto, the Middle East, and any other patriarchal society. So, ladies, keep well away and don't be fooled by the bouquets, money, and gifts, although nice, since you're simply being bought without your knowledge.

it is myth and idk on what u based ur words as russian myself and saw how my parents, how my siblings and friends lived and build their families i could tell that 80% of mens do housework as much as work too same goes for women (work+house work) (it is couse of soviet worldview about gender problem and soviet education/propaganda system + we had mandotory army system that used to teach those 20% that leaved of "how to clean" "how to cook" "how to patch up dress" ) my father used to clean appartment, took my sibs and me into school or take us from it as much as drive us to different places , same goes for mother dishes did mother but whole cleaning and repair was on father sometimes father cooked too , we cooked too (with brother/sister/frineds that being often guests in our house) father was not jeleous at all, but mother was a lot (she used to swear and scream at father about he being late after work and tolk about her siblig that she thought he cheating with on her) mother was abusive and use violence against me, used to scream a lot / ignore out of anger and use harsh words about my appearence and personality father on another hand used to guide me "be wiser and apologies even thou she wrong" so yeah it was her 2nd marriage...we with bro was not from same father - i really did not know why my father chose her to marry she got child and was odler than him but had house/rich parents maybe couse of that my childhood friend from above was rised only by his mother that beat shit out of him a lot for every deed that he did against her will she was really like a fkn wild wolf or somekind of big cat idk where u find point about emotinal enteligence - i dont think that womens that in masses beat shit out of their sons can be described as more emotional inteligent ) and i dont think that boys that after being abused whole their childhood + abused by goverment (by army) and despite that got education (couse it is free there to get high education) and not getting drunk addict / find job / find hobby can be described as low emotional inteligent all forign ppl that i spoke with only talk about that russians are smart and very deep and that first look depressive view vanished right on their eyes after few minutes of talking with em
