My Mom and some of my friends are giving me a lot of crap because I want to get microbraids. They say it's not in style, I'm white, older, I won't be able to color my hair and that it will ruin my hair. Anyone have any suggestions?
@simplyshama4 жыл бұрын
@@cher-amirose7109 Would not recommend micro braids on fine hair. It won't last and for all that time and money, you'd rather get some neat cornrows. But when you say you're older, maybe there are other non-braid styles that would look cuter! If you ever want to try braids there are wigs these days

Olivia Rindone That’s great to hear! I’m thinking about switching over to knotless braids from box braids for my next hairstyle. Thank you for all your help but I have one more question do knotless braids get frizzy easily? I would assume that because they don’t have a knot at the top that the parts would get frizzy have you experienced that?
@oliviarindone67004 жыл бұрын
Erica Clare yes. They did get frizzy pretty fast. Not gonna lie. But I just put a little bet of gel on them and they were fine. But I do have to do that to my main part every other day.

Do you think the white buds are from a little bit of tension? Whenever I’ve experienced the hair coming from the bud it would be because the hair was pulled too tight in the braid. I wonder if it could be from pulling it into ponytail or something.

TaHonie I would say yes but I didn’t really experience any pulling or tension at all and I didn’t wear them in a ponytail until way way after this video. I wonder...

Fleeky Twins Thank you for responding! I’m getting mine tomorrow and your video sealed the deal for me. I am a thyroid disease survivor and I have struggled with hair loss the last 4 years but my hair is finally growing again on my hairline and I want to be very careful with it and I have heard great things about this knotless style braid.

TaHonie wow, that’s amazing! I think you’ll do just fine with these, but make sure you tell your beautician as well to be on the safe side. I hope you love them! 💞

my concern is the different hair types with knotless. the roots will look different from person to person. so when they’re starting to grow out will it look trashy for like type 4b-c girls? or is it that the hairdresser would have to know how to grip the roots properly enough to have enough hair firm in place. i hope you get what i mean

ms. Aayoo I get what you mean! I know some people’s hair can look crazy when it starts growing out. I think I have type 4b hair and when mine grew out it looked fuzzy but nothing too crazy at all. I hope that helps.

how do you keep your hair from showing through the braids? my hair is very curly naturally and by the second week the hair is sticking out from every braid. I have not washed my hair and I use spray in leave in conditioner to keep my hair hydrated.

I absolutely love mine myself. My only issue I have is that I seem to accumulate lint in my roots. Ive washed my hair, and tried to watch a few videos on how to wash them, but I still have the lint. It’s been a month and a week for me. I’m taking them out and gonna try again though
