Thanks for the encouragement I’m dealing with the unraveling just started interlocking for almost two weeks 😂 it’s very time consuming, had to redo many of them for them to interloc, thought I would be able to palm roll my mini locs, but after research interloc roots will be better w my lifestyle,, I keep mine in a bun the only way I can deal with the early stage I will be on vacation so hope to finish interlocking, I have quite a bit of locs, your locs are beautiful can’t wait for maturity 5 months in so far, attempted to take them out but holding on I have gotten to far.

Keep holding on, it gets so much better. Do what works for you in the early stages. Although the early stages were rough for me, I'm so glad I didn't comb them out.

I didn’t do the braid and band my hair is about 4 inches so it looses out after showers.. At 6 weeks I just got the confidence to go to work with out a wig caps.. I’m a diy- er myself retie took me the first time with 244 and counting took me 6 hrs.. but I’m ok with that. Tiresome though.

Great video! As a diy-er with micro braids for just over 3 months, I can say that your pros and cons are on point!! (Praying these stringy plaits will thicken up and lock soon lol.)

I knew it was time to get locs when I did nothing to my hair and I was tired of looking like a mess everyday around the house.

This is where I am at too. I am a lazy natural. Actually, I have been feeling this way for the past year. I hate wash days or twisting it up every night. I will be establishing my locs with two strand twist in June....after I attend a wedding. Cannot wait.

I’m strongly considering braid locks, and your videos are very informative and helpful. Thank you. I have a question... Your hair grade/ type seems to be similar to mine. What do you do (if anything) for the edges that aren’t long enough to braid or are thin? I do have that issues in the areas right under my temple, and would like to know before I install braidlocs.

Genetically I have very fine edges at my temples. That hair is so fine and curly, it just unravels, so I don't worry about trying to loc that hair. I just let it stay loose, and it blends in perfectly. I don't want to risk traction alopecia, so I don't try to loc it.

I have a video showing how I separate my locs, and go from straight to curly, and my hair is wet and straight out of the shower in that video. Check it out, and let me know if you have any additional questions.

Do u sit under a hooded dryer?
@LivinDivine
@LivinDivine 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I sit under a hair dryer, because I can’t stand to sleep with or keep braids in my hair over night. I use a gold n hot bonnet hair dryer, and usually I just take a nap while it’s drying. The bonnet works perfect for me, because I don’t have to sit up, or stay in one spot while it’s drying.
How I keep and maintain my full locs!
