Take the RAM expansion card out ASAP. Many A500's have been damaged heavily by them, as it gets onto the motherboard. For the A500 I would heavily recommend upgrading it with a PiStorm. Its a recent development and allows you to use a raspberry Pi as a storage device and act as a hardware acelerator card.

The 8 bit guy has a ton of videos on restoring those old commodores. Looking him up would probably have tons of answers for you. The garbled data on the 64 could mean the ram is giving up the ghost which isn’t an uncommon thing, replace the ram chips and the computer should boot. As for the disk drive. The switch MIGHT be a device ID switch. A disk drive can id as different numbers to the system. But it’s wired in. The switch lets you do that.

The Amiga 500 came out before the Amiga A1200. The Amiga 500 is quite sort after as is the 500+ but not so much the 600. The power supply's are available both new and second hand but can be expensive and if second hand would probably need re-capping. I would suggest you cut or de=solder the battery from the expansion board as well as the one in the main computer. All machines would benefit from a re=capping. As to the C64 it could be cap issues or a failed chip or two (good luck).

Some people sell brand new PSUs to replace the murder type ones. I bought a non-working C64 about two years ago. No PSU and the internals terribly corroded. I renewed the keyboard, bought a broken ryzen laptop and built the wold'sm only 4k capable, battery powered C64. I am thinking about making a video of it soon.

The C64 most likely has bad RAM, tho it could also be the PLA. Check if you have MT RAM, those are notorious for failing. You can consider yourself lucky for not having a black screen on boot. Those are rather tricky to get to work

Stop using those commodore 64 power supplies until you can get your hands on at least a 64Saver. The garbled screen is from memory a rom chips gone bad. Sometimes just unplugging them and plugging them back into the sockets will fix it. Appears all the main ic's on your c64 are socketed. C64 power supplies have a nasty habit of failing regulators on the 5V rail. This leads to blown IC's, some of which are becoming super rare. Leave the Ram Card out of the amiga until you can clip off the battery. The battery can be replaced with a modern equivalent.
