The one thing that most prevents men from having the relationships they want with the women they want to have them with is cowardice. In this episode, I discuss three ways in which this cowardice tends to manifest in the game of mating and dating: in approaching women, in responding to female emotionality, and in assuming leadership. For men, courage is the pathway to more satisfying relationships with women. I have truly been a coward all my life. Two months ago, I decided I will no longer feel ashamed of the life that I want. My wife of 7 years and I have struggled for power in the relationship since the beginning and on my 30th birthday I told her that I wanted to divorce her. I tolerated behavior from her that I was too afraid to address, I could not tell her no, I was ignorant to her manipulations and I believed her words over her actions. Needless to say, our increasingly sexless marriage was headed to an ending regardless, but I am very happy to have woken up to a bolder more masculine energy when I did. I could not imagine going through a divorce with no sense of self and not being able to assert boundaries and be reasonable no matter how emotional she becomes. I have learned so much about myself in these 7 years, and so much about women as well, especially in these last two years. Thank you Doctor!

@@IFYOUWANTITGOGETIT Actually, everyone wants to be adored -- especially by those they adore. The problem, as you indicate, is that once we get that adoration, our desire to be adored by that person is satiated, and we start looking for adoration from someone else whom we adore, but who does not yet adore us -- and maybe never will. In other words, we are constantly seeking adoration -- especially from those whom we adore, but whom do not yet adore us. We are basically seeking confirmation of our own value and worth. Of course, one should start with self-confirmation instead, and learn to value the adoration we already have from those in our lives whom already love and adore us. This is a hard lesson to learn, however, and it can take years, even decades, to learn the value of appreciating what you already have. Of course, some people go through their entire lives without ever learning this life-changing lesson -- and, so, they die lonely and alone.

Statistically and from our experiences, a good outcome from approaching modern women is really rare. So it is natural to not risk other important aspects of your life (momey, peace, reputation...) to just be with a woman. It is not cowardness, it is rational thinking.
@KpxUrz57458 ай бұрын
Agreed. A good outcome is so rare that it is nearly zero. This suggests that a man has to make an utter fool of himself hundreds of times or more just to hope for even a glimmer of any non-humiliating rejection. The only times I was ever able to see a spark of interest was when we both already had a certain commonality, such as back in college sharing a class. And even then it was mostly a vacuum. Approaching a stranger in public? Ha, that is a surefire rejection.

My wife and I have been married for 25 years, have two young boys and we have been happy with the way we slipt household and parental duties. She has recognized she is more conservator in professional matters while I am more risk taker (usually men are). So the leading role (hat) relys on each one of us depending on each "field of expertize". She is resilent, caring, give attention to details while I am more generalist that likes to see the big picture. This is why I generally start talking about roadmapping our life, but she did it often too before kids arrived. The balance is not perfect all the time but I think one thing is crucial: the belief and practice that family comes first and we trust each other will do the same. We pay a personal toll upholding this value, but it is the only way to build something lasting. At the end of the day we see our kids growing strong in healh and in values. Besides that I only hope God can grant them a chance to find a good partner in life the way I was able to find for myself.

@masterTigress96 Жыл бұрын
If it is just that, then there are fairly simple solutions to this. When it comes to getting maried: do not get legally married. Marriage is a religious ritual that you perform in front of God (can be anywhere, God is omnipresent in most religions) so that you, your women and the children don't go to hell. That's it. No signatures or paperwork required. Most women however will always steer towards a legal agreement because women crave safety. Note however that women have a very strange duality inside of their minds. They want a bad boy that is only good for them, a man that is predictable (safe) and unpredictable (exciting) at the same time. That doesn't exist. As soon as you sign the legal paperwork, she will lose her sexual attraction for you and the p*ssy gets padlock on it after she has the kids. TL;DR - don't get *legally* married When it comes to having kids: make sure you do your homework when selecting the future mother of your children. She *has* to be an anti-feminist. No exceptions, ever. She needs to understand the destructive nature of women and needs to understand that the reality she wants to "manifest" is not the one that is most beneficial for the relationship and the children. Make sure you also do a DNA test on the kids, 1 in 20 men in the US are raising children that are not their own. If she doesn't want to do a DNA test, make it a legal issue and get it done that way or walk away. She has something to hide if she disagrees to do it. Alternatively you could become a passport bro and go to another country where the legal system is not as rigged and where you don't live in a matriarchy such as in the west.

Part of becoming comfortably dominant involves humor - to appreciate the drama and emotionality for what it is: a performance. It is never too late when you're still alive. Money can be replenished, as difficult as that is sometimes, but your time on this earth is finite. No amount of negotiation with God can change that. A failure is merely and opportunity for improvement. It only becomes a failure when you stop improving. The way I relate to people, my wife among them is to be 1) polite, honest, & direct. Even when it's tough. 2) my words & actions align, even when it's tough. I am willing to forgive mistakes & the occasional bad day. I have also discovered that people are WAY more forgiving to me when I take ownership of messing up. When that happens, I acknowledge it, then I try to fix it. Be honest with people, it's better for everyone. In school, first you get the lesson, then you get the test. In life, first you get the test, then you get the lesson. And the test will be repeated until the lesson is learned.

This was very accurate, I started a relationship where the woman was in awe of me, she respected me and in her own words, "held me in high regard". Why? Because I was entirely in control and doing what I wanted, I was assertive. But I didn't understand this, I fell in love and got affectionate, emotional. I was way too considerate and caved into her interests too many times and stopped growing myself. Not long, she lost all sense of respect for me and thought I was a worshipping simp, she suddenly decided I was unattractive and went so far as telling me about a better guy she was attracted to who was very passive. She's still chasing him today. Learnt the hard way, don't change yourself for a woman. Women should try themselves to fit into your totally awesome, self determined path in life. BE THE MAN, HAVE THE FINAL SAY.

I don't know why but I started out with no fear at all and as I got older I seem to have acquired fear. That coupled with conditioning by women to appease or be brutally punished psychologically has taken away my desire to pursue women I might get attached to. I've learned that with women there really is no winning because even if you "win" by keeping them, what you have managed to keep is a substantial drain on your finances, time and mental health. Not all of which is their fault per se but certainly is incidental to being in the game to any degree.

I can't remember who said or wrote it, but I recall an old phrase saying something along the lines of: "you can give a women the world, and she will still ask for the moon". But I guess that is the issue. You shouldn't chase a womens happiness. That is her responsibility. You are in charge of your own happiness, you cannot outsource that to anyone else, and neither can she. Let go of this idea of making her happy and just focus on your own happiness. The term “cowardice” and label of fear is 90% wrong in this instance. It’s not fear holding men back from leadership in relationships, it’s experience & confidence. Women want to date up. So, if you’re not up, you don’t qualify. But when you are up, and you’ve learned from past mistakes, you know you belong there & it was never fear that held you back. Not saying fear isn’t real. Fear is a great thing to feel when you weigh what you want vs. what you’re getting, to push yourself harder & further than thought possible. But end result is confidence. Fear is not the problem.

Hi All, Orion is a brilliant guy but he is way off on this one. Totally. I'm writing this as the father of a soon-to-be teenage son. It is not cowardice that constrains/emasculates 'modern' men. Their meek behavior is forced by the lack of power; vulnerability to misandrist legal, social, and workplace threats; and the general devaluation society imposes on them. No choice, actually, but to accept their sucky life until they (hopefully) have climbed up the status later and then not have to stay on the defensive all the time.. Why would a young guy be timid about approaching an attractive woman? Okay he might be afraid of getting beaten up by a boyfriend or romantic rival. He may be afraid of a harassment accusation or even an assault allegation that could be made against him. He may be afraid of having his photo circulated as a 'gym creep' for smiling and saying 'hello'. To say this is just cowardice is silly. It's rational. Standing up to women is hard for young me because of the power imbalance. Not because of cowardice. An unemployed 18 year old girl walking around showing off her thighs and breasts is considered very cute and gets approving smiles and glances from everyone. An 18 year old male who acts in the gender-equivalent way (riding around on a motorcycle, for instance) is considered a delinquent and looked down upon. HIs perceived social value is very low, whereas the 'cute' girl is considered very high value. This is again a consequence of relative social and sexual market place values. not cowardice. To Orion's final example: his personal experience that when he took charge and became confident he had better results. This is a biased comparison. He was older and more empowered in the later case. He had the higher social value, economic value, and optionality. Before, when he had lower value, if he had tried to take charge he probably would have just been dumped and left alone for the next decade.. It's power. If you want young men to do better and behave with more confidence, address the power differential that systematically disadvantages them in 'modern' society (and its psychological consequences). Your reply is the dis-empowered viewpoint of social determinism. What Orion is saying is to be who you choose to be, come what may. And it truly is fear we must avoid.

Power matters, and you can't will it away. Playing your heart out when the game is on an unfair field might just make you lose harder. Here's an example: One of my friends tried to not take sh*t and be brave. He almost got kicked out of college on a false rape accusation. Long story short: He needed to take a piss during a party and knocked on the bathroom door too loudly. There was a girl inside who was hogging the room for 30 mins. She felt 'threatened' by his knocking and called security. The campus security was so biased in her favor and the whole machinery of the campus administration was ready to hang him- 'cause that is what the system is set up to do. I had to make a statement in his defense. His parents were rich and could credibly threaten the college with a major lawsuit, etc. So he dodged that bullet. Others may not. That's the reality. Deny it at your own risk. When@@kardianos

you address the power differential by getting off your ass and becoming a man with a purpose. no one is going to come and FIX the power differential. instead, define yourself as a man, LEARN THE GAME, play the game, and avoid the errors of committing to these western women at all. "the only way to win the game is not to play." you CAN become a man that women don't play their games with in life. be that guy. it starts with being masculine & confident.

Nah. The young guys I knew who had the chutzpah to act like they had power did better than most of my “nicer” male friends did with women. They weren’t as well liked, and some of them were actively hated if they were very assertive or aggressive But they were also more respected and taken seriously by the women who fell for them and the men they were friends with Homeless dudes get girlfriends, too. This “men are linearly as valuable as their status” is a nice idea for encouraging people to buy expensive stuff they don’t need, for organizing people in careers, etc. But it’s not (always) how sexual attraction and interpersonal relationships work If you stand up for yourself more, people will treat you better, listen to you more, and be more attracted to you And re your point about the sexually attractive young women who flaunt it, the guys I knew who I respected the most, the assertive and confident ones, they rejected whatever woman they had problems with rather than desperately seeking their attention, validation, and affections.

(5:36) Basically, do not reward the women for bad behavior.
