The translation is not on point. I am german. The actual words are even more derogatory. The narrator says „sie haben es sich zusammengewuchert“ the actual word is hard to translate , but it means that the jewish trade is not even an honest one, they ocerprice and are greedy, the translation said „they assembled it“ . One more example is the „most ambitious jew…“ that is not the actual meaning of what is said, it would be more correct to use the word cunning. They say „gerissen“ , again implying bad intentions and dishonesty.

It is interesting to see how he totally denies the immoralities of usury and the flaws of capitalism. Instead he reduces the idealism of the film to something lower, to something material, to something selfish, to a disgusting fear of getting bad goods. And he really believes it. And people really fall for it. This kind of selfish motivation is what the modern man understands. Liberalism in general and economic liberalism aka capitalism especially has reduced us to the level of the Jews from the film. That is sad and frankly pathetic.

Because Capitalism, Free Trade and Commerce is a totally failing form of economics that has lead to the collapse of societies while socialism, on the other hand, works without fail. Every. single. time. I'm sure. Blows me away that people can't see that too. All they have to do is look at history and the proof (or lack there of) is evident. It is sad and frankly pathetic.

You can recognize that usury is immoral while still thinking this film is blatant propaganda. I don't understand your issue with his analysis because the film itself demonstrably appeals to all sorts of base visceral disgust responses of its viewers. Just listen to the music. It's like he said. The film is more based on these things than on actual ideas.
