Been enjoying your videos, my wife is from Tokyo, she is in Japan with our daughter visiting the grandparents at the moment. They arrived in Japan late last month, they had to stay in a hotel without having any human contact for 6 days. I visited Japan 3 years ago, before COVID. Spent two weeks there, rented bicycles and went riding all around. I’m also a car guy, Subaru are my flavor. Keep the content coming, safe travels. Congratulations on the beautiful family.

I used to want some of these JDM cars but they're hard to justify price wise now. They're still cool cars but I'd rather get something newer with more power and easier access to replacement parts
@evlsc4002 жыл бұрын
I grew up playing gran turismo, you were given 10,000 credits to start a racing career, there's no way with the math and funds now would it be fun to spend all your money on a car that can't do much now and hasn't seen maintainence. That's the way I look at it, I am not a sponsored race car driver that drives his car at night and enters street races for 10K pots this isn't need for speed, so there's no fucking way I'm spending 5K-10K on bodykits that are not this period correct just to feel accepted? it doesn't even make sense. Then you have dudes with a bit of a chip on their shoulder money wise bashing those that run cheaper parts? Like hello Dufus, if Ganadors didn't cost $4K+ and there was a steady demand for parts people wouldn't resort to cheaper methods, like we all can't be rocking JGTC style cars jacking each other off. /end rant.

So I'm in the US and I own a 1990 Nissan 300zx. I follow a few car youtubers who live in Japan and one thing I notice is you don't ever see are 300zx's, whether its sale lots, parking lots, car meetups, even auction houses. I've always been curious as to why, I'm assuming it just boils down to popularity, but you sell JDM vehicles so your probably the best person to ask. Haha

Most don't know the actual market and how high it really is now. Also, you have to deal with the CARB in cali, thats like 6k+. They won't even touch a 99 since the OBD2 issues. I imported my beat to Hawaii myself, and the costs were way higher than I expected - over $3500, plus the cost of the beat!
