Hello everyone.
Pardon the vagueness of what I'm about to say but I find it appropriate to give the victim the agency and control by not putting out details of what happened, that its theirs to mention if they wished. As such, if you wish to know the full details, links to the screenshots will be in the description. Trigger warning, however, sexually predatory and manipulative behavior on my part.
You may or may not have heard that there are allegations directed towards me. I am confirming these allegations. But this isn't an apology video because I believe that no amount of apology would be enough to undo what I did. This isn't a debunking video. There is nothing to disprove. I am also not unapologetic for the horrible things I did. On the contrary, I am incredibly regretful of my actions.
One might say that I am only regretful since I was exposed, I was caught, but the truth is this guilt has been with me, always at the back of my mind, for so long that I always knew it would catch up to me. If anything, I'm thankful that it did because I finally have an opportunity to set things right.
I have been wanting to do this for a long while now. Only reason why I haven't is because I couldn't find a way to contact the victim. I thought it best to contact them first and do whatever it takes to remedy things. I had even intended on making a public statement about it back then. Reason why I didn't is because I thought it would be unfair if I didn't let the person speak out first. But, again, because of my account being hacked, compromised, I had no means of contacting them. Thinking thoroughly, though, even if my account wasn't hacked, this would've done more harm than good to the person so I didn't go through with it.
It is only until just recently did I finally know their account when they made themselves known. Which means I finally have an opportunity to try and make amends.
I know that no apology or action would suffice or heal the trauma I've caused. But I believe that I still need to do something about it in order make things right. Not for my sake or for my peace of mind but for the person I've hurt.
Allow me to say, however, that in the years that followed, I have been doing my best to distance myself from communicating with the community because I have always thought that I might present a danger to someone. Which is why if someone were to message or email me or commission a song from me, I prefer to be straight to the point. Because I fear I might fall back into my old habits and harm more people if I prolong the conversation. I don't want to become like that ever again. This is also why I have bots running my twitter and facebook page as I believed the less interactions I have, the safer everyone will be.
What I did was utterly reprehensible. Absolutely unforgivable, no denying that. And there is nothing I can do to completely fix things. I am so full of guilt and shame but anything I'm feeling right now is nothing compared to the pain the person I manipulated is feeling. But, despite this, I still firmly believe that I need to do something to atleast help them in some way.
If you wish to unsubscribe, stop listening to my songs, stop supporting me on patreon, please do so. To the people who work with me, if you wish to cease all collaborative works, please do so. To anyone who commissioned a song and wish to cancel, I will be providing full refunds.
But If you find it appropriate to let me keep making songs, keep doing what I do, if you find it appropriate to stay subscribed and continue listening to my stuff, then thank you. I promise to give you so much more songs in the future.
I know its going to take a while to earn everyone's trust back. If at all. Which is why I'm imploring the community to help guide me to be a better person. But right now, my focus is to make things right with the person I hurt. Which is why there will be no song this month as I will be dedicating it to communicating with them, preferably through an intermediary so that the person wouldn't have to relive past traumas by having to talk to me. Though, if the person wishes to communicate directly with me, I would much prefer that, but I think through an intermediary is still much more suitable. I do not want to cause any more harm or discomfort by presenting myself, an abuser, infront of the victim.
The comment section on this video will be open until the end of the month where I will be making another video updating you guys on this whole thing. For clarification, comments will be closed just on this video. Not on the entire channel.
I love making songs AND this community, you guys. And I realized that far too late. I hope you guys would please let me stay even if at a distance.

Were you are wrong There's never anything wrong with (genuinely) saying the words "Im sorry", regardless of the act Whether or not this individual chooses to forgive you, is within their capacity And understand, I don't state this because I think the individual should "oh, just get over it", And certainly not because whatever you did wasn't wrong But because the last thing I refuse to let this individual think, is that their compassion was stripped from them along with whatever else was

I'm seeing a lot of people in a hurry to offer forgiveness and absolution in the comments, and I think that's very much missing the point. Regardless of whether you feel guilt or remorse, genuine or merely because you got caught, it's not our place to offer that forgiveness or absolution. Your community is not the person wronged when you solicited a minor. What you did was reprehensible, and it's only the place of the victim to decide if she chooses to forgive, if ever. She alone knows the weight and damage of what you did, and even if I don't know her, I stand by her judgement here.

Judging by the screenshots... Yeah, it's *bad* Glad that you're telling the truth instead of causing further harm, and for everyone's sake I hope you've changed. Truth is, it doesn't matter much what we think, it's up to the victim to decide. Whatever you do, please don't lock yourself up from the world. Surround yourself with people who're willing to give you a second chance, *and won't excuse that sort of behavior* Lack of social connections will only make things worse for your mind. Edit: Well, things ended up the best they could've. You've been forgiven (more or less) by the only one who could've done so. Prove them right.

@@alpharius6371 People can change, can they not? For better or for worse, people grow or regress. If you can honestly say you don't hate who you were or what you liked in the past for whatever reason, then you have remained developmentally stagnant. Example; Frank Abagnale is a convicted felon charged with auto larceny, theft, forgery, fraud and a ridiculous amount of scams primarily targeting individuals and small businesses. He has since shared his knowledge on scammers and how they operate, having turned his life around. I can't honestly say for certain if his actions were better or worse than StringStorm's, but they certainly impacted a lot more people and he was forgiven after changing his ways. This is assuming he IS truly repentant of his actions and wishes to change, of course, it's not exactly possible for one to be forgiven if one doesn't wish to be.

This is dated, but to be honest I only found out about it recently. As far as I can tell the story I'm hearing is that Stringstorm met a girl who was 14 or 15 online in an erotic MLP or Anime site, and they started flirting, and he kept asking for nudes which she may or may not have sent. Much later now that he's internet famous, she's pretty much making a big deal about it despite it having been forgotten before now. I don't like the whole situation but wanted to give some perspective on it. While I can get behind Stringstorm owning it and not trying to cover it up or anything, and admitting it seems to be the best way to get over a controversy like thus, I will just say it seems like it's a touchy subject. One thing I will point out is that most teenagers are sexually active and the internet is a safe place to experiment, I know, I was one. This is one of the reasons why I have been a long term proponent of doing things like distributing birth control and condoms and such in high schools as opposed to trying to force abstinence, though once I became an adult obviously it's been a touchier subject than usual. I am very much anti-Pedo, as I myself was sexually assaulted when I was six, but I think teenage stuff is a littler different. I mean growing up there was tons of sex and romance stuff in young adult fiction and comics, because that appeals to the target audience whatever people think. I will also point out that the US has perhaps the highest age of consent in the world. You will note that Japan has an age of consent of 13 (understand a lot of the media you see for there is not considered Pedo bait there) while that is too young in my opinion, I simply state it because it's the lowest of any sane country I know if. Germany has an age of consent of 14 I believe, Australia 15, and the UK 16. I would personally consider lowering the US age of consent to 16 and distributing birth control and such to juniors an seniors in high school, but I do understand why that is a controversial attitude. Also I mostly see this as due to teens messing around with each other, more than my thought process being to enable far older people to pursue them. Now that I've made my attitudes apparent, IF the facts of this case are what I hear, and this connection was specifically made on a pornographic site, my first real place to assign blame is whoever was running that community as they should have been forcing an 18+ rule if it's an adult community with American regulars. Yes teenagers sneak into those places due to being curious and seeing it as a safe place to experiment, no that likely shouldn't be going on, especially as things are now. Part of the entire point of those age rules is to prevent the kind of interactions that happened here, as like it or not it can lead to some tempting situations. What's more I would argue some teen sneaking into an adult community, flirting with adults, and then not removing themselves when asked for nudes (which can be taken as playing hard to get) can be a touchy subject. Should Stringstorm have been asking? No, but she should not have been there, and the community moderators should have been doing their job. I'm just saying this is a case where I don't think exclusive blame can be placed here. I will also say, I'd be curious where she's from, and if she's legal in that country, of if she's also American. I know in certain communities with an international user base there have been issues over this. It is not an uncommon thing right now for say some girl from Germany or Australia who can access such places legally, to mess with men from the US, and then try and engineer situations to black mail them due to them not being aware of the deal, and that in their own country they aren't even remotely considered to be victims. There have been a few articles about this on the internet, I don't really hang out on porn communities anymore, but I've heard that it is a recurring problem. I mention the above because it does seem odd that she disappears, finds Stringstorm (who does indeed have some responsibility in this) and probably realizes he's getting donations, and now wants a piece of it so makes a mess. The only way to avoid blackmail would seemingly be to come clean about it of course and take the resulting risks. I can admire that, but at the same time I'm trying to be impartial, and just wanted to say all the angles on this one might need to be examined. Do we know where this girl is from for sure? Is she illegal in her home country? If she is from outside the US where she's legal it might explain why they turned a blind eye on that community. I'm mostly saying this because before Stringstorm self flagellates himself to oblivion, he might want to consider that maybe this girl (who disappeared for a while) is like some of the other ones out there, and has been hooking other guys the same way to try and extort them. I mean does he even know she is in fact underage by US standards, or did she just claim that? I dunno, I am probably sounding like a weirdo myself in overthinking it, and I admit I have second hand information after finding this and doing some research, but my immediate impression is that this sounds VERY 'iffy'. If she was on a porn thing to begin with that's one warning sign of course, it raises questions as to how she was even there. We then have to look at the delay. If she's an actual victim, then why didn't she go to the authorities instead of allowing it to just come to this public shaming thing? It sounds very much like it's a blackmail attempt. I could be wrong, but beyond liking Stringstorm's music, this just sounds all kinds of edgy... and as I said initially, I've looked into age of consent, on the interwebs she might indeed be as young as 14 or 15 and have been hanging out in porn communities perfectly legally due to the laws of where she's from. I'm not entirely sure how laws like that work across international borders as I don't go looking for that sort of thing, but it does raise some serious questions about how much victimization is involved if her home culture accepts that she is capable of sexual consent, even if ours does not. I prefer to avoid this kind of situation entierly, but well... now that this showed up in my feed after listening to some Stringstorm videos, all I can say is I felt the need to analyze it. Either way, Stringstorm obviously knows he did wrong, there doesn't seem to be any physical assault involved by anyone's laws from anything I read, and she doesn't seem interested in, or can't, press charges. I think it should just be dropped more or less. Though it might already have been, this is three months old, but well... it's the first I heard of it.

You shared this only 11 hours ago so I feel like commenting on your comment with a reply is best because I just found out about this too when I decided to search for String Storm's Primal Clown song. And what do I find? Drama. I just wanna point something out. I read all of what you said but my answer is this. If a man (or woman) simply practices sexual suppression. All of this could've been avoided outright. I'll never understand this anyway. As a 90s baby who just turned 30 I get hit on occasionally by teens and I'm grossed out by them because of the way they talk, dress and smell. Perhaps it's easier for me because my desire for longing for better days of nostalgia overpowers any and all carnal desire the common man has but the truth is simply do not place one's self in that situation to begin with. If what you're saying is true. String Storm could've avoided all this drama if he wasn't even participating in they 18+ adult mlp or anime website. Avoidance outright is key.

That said though, what truly matters the most is the feelings of the victim/s and whether they forgive you or not. Regardless of their choice, you should take steps to earn their forgiveness and to not make the same mistake twice. I’ll stick around for your music as I’ve long learned to separate the art from the artist. Others may choose to burn their bridges but as for me, this is between you and the victim. I just hope you don’t disappoint your community a second time.

Honestly, as soon as I saw MLP I thought it would be a lot worse that it was. At least she was in high school, so no need for the woodchipper. Eh, my mother was legal about five minutes before she started dating my father, who was out of high school long before she was in it (they're still married). Maybe it's because I've spent my life surrounded by, or involved in, real heinous shit that I can't work up any real outrage. You seem to have pulled back from the brink back then, and appear truly repentant. If that's good enough for the victim, that's more than good enough for me. I hope therapy works out for you. I've known some it helped, some it hurt, and plenty it had no effect on. Personally, I'd suggest spending time in the wilderness disconnected from everything, even electricity if practical. Being cold, wet, and hungry, needing to chop wood to stay warm, is far better way to get your head straight than most. By the way, not to victim blame, but kids really, REALLY, need to be taught basic online security. I was in high school before I was on the internet (early 1990s) but it was common knowledge it was full of predators, and as soon as someone messaged you 'A/S/L?' you blocked him and told the mods. You also NEVER used your real name and kept personal info, particularly if it could identify you, to a minimum. Honestly, I've come to conclusion that girls finding the internet icky and only for nerds to be have been better for everyone involved.

To be honest I have dealt with a sexual predator before that claimed to have "changed". I believed him foolishly then he tried to solicit a good female friend of mine who was underage for nudes. Needlessly to say after he blew that second chance I was done with him. Completely cut him out of my life as it was not the first time he had done it and was already a pariah in the community. Him being caught again ensured he was forever barred from the community and was made a nobody. I am torn between giving you a second chance and outright walking away from your channel. I believe for now I will give benefit of the doubt and believe your desire to make amends. Just remember there are no third chances for this type of behavior.

People have nothing to fear but their own weakness and inability. It's about accountability and honesty. Make no mistake, we're all a danger. Those giving into fear more so. BE a danger. If you're not a danger then you're weak. Easy to take advantage of. Danger isn't the problem. The illusion of safety is. That is what drives so many people into despair. The lie. The seemingly safe is even more dangerious because of ignorance. Manipulation doesn't have to be a bad thing. What's important to keep in mind here is that manipulation does not translate to deception (a common oversight people often overlook). How do you react and respond to the situation you're in? Certain reminders keep people sane and stable even in the darkest of situations. Think about this. Why would one feel bad? Why would someone ELSE take issue with something? Whatever "it" may be. When it comes right down to it it's about ones own perception. The "bad feelings" indicate something isn't adding up. Which will circle back to not being aware/upfront/honest enough somehow. The desire to reach out to whoever was affected is an attempt to get and clear things up at the "source". We're all monsters. It's just a question of wherever one is honest about it. Better to accept that instead of pretending to be a saint. It's more honest. Regret and shame will only lead to despair. Just because we're raised to shallow the crap of guilt and shame doesn't mean you have to buy into it. Just results in beating yourself up. It doesn't do anything to change a situation. It's better to not be sorry and stick to context then. We get taught otherwise because misery loves company. Ever had anyone tell you that "You should feel ashamed"? Big flaw with such a statement. 1: Things are as they are. Not as they "should" be. 2: How petty and bitter does one have to be to try and force others to feel bad? Even sadistic ruthless mosnters will not stoop to that level. So what then does this say of someone trying to claim a moral high ground? Objectively speaking. Something to think about. What's also important to keep in mind is coddling people won't improve them either. There's no "right" or "Wrong". Only actions and consequences. People want their selfish way. Which is often treated as an obligation. It's not. It's what they want. Long as that's made clear it all checks out. No one is entitled to do what you want either. In other words when doing "bad" things I'd admit it ASAP. I mean and intend to do what I do. Even if people are afraid, angry, sad, etc, it can lead to great outcomes. Accountability helps with preventing people working themselves up more, is the simplest way I can put it. What I'm getting at here is that being an honest monster can be a good thing. The difference is control and accountability. I tell people I can destroy them and am thanked for it. I am the danger. You are. We ALL are. It's when people pretend otherwise that they catch on. Learn to enjoy being the danger. Make it more of a point to show that. You might be surprised at the results it gets. Or you can curl under a rock and live in fear. I say that to all of you. Living as a coward is no way to live. Be "honest" instead of trying to be a saint. Be yourself instead of living by the rules and expectations of others.

Not up to us to forgive you, unfortunately, if it's even possible to do so. But I respect the balls and decency it takes to admit when you've done fucked up shit and try to do better going forward. If a crime was commited, see that justice is served. If not, it's a private matter. If no charges are pressed because the vic doesn't want to, it is not my place to judge.
