Damn when I saw the thumbnail I thought that engine was going on a stand next to the other one🤣🤣 Well now y'all can give it a fresh paint job like you said. Make sure to check the surface on the valve covers to make sure they're flat . I've seen where those covers get out of shape. Good luck hope you get all the leaks taken care of.👍🔧🔧🔧

You need to use exhaust gasket for stock 350 from 1969 c10. They come in 3 pieces per side. They are the metallic type gaskets not the paper gaskets. If not those,go copper gaskets,they might be expensive but should outlast the engine and a few to come.

I don’t know if the stock ones would work with these headers, there 2”. But copper would be the deal if they make some for these headers.

They do,check with Jegs or Summit. Speedway has copper gaskets as well for your step header’s. Form’s say if you have a straight flange to use aluminum. I would use the aluminum so you can bolt it to the heads,then header’s and dremel to fit perfectly so you don’t have exhaust leak’s. Exhaust leak’s occur when the gasket is hanging over and divert exhaust through the overhanging gasket and blow’s the exhaust gasket causing an engine tapping sound. It’s like putting a square peg in a round hole, lol.

Main seals will leak when parked on steep hills. The old Altereds with the jacked up motors always leaked.
