I blame: 1. The gov, caz I rly don't believe they so stupid think such ktv is clean. I blame them for not sending the police raid frequent enough and go do regular spot check. Caz I even saw a lot girls boldly walk around tanglin area hooking up on guys. So obvious. Means the police nv do enough wah. They shld have the mindset that ktv might not abide n do illegal activities etc. So shld do regular check. I know if police keep come maybe will ruin biz but can at least send some plainclothes police do more checks w/o affecting their business n the patrons mood? 2. Besides cheekopek activities, my guess is that some of these business owners/workers/hosts/customers also indulge in narcotics. The environment of these sleazy KTV's just breeds undesirable behavior that is swept under the rug by Singapore Gov't. MOH sending discreet texts is also a concern. Why so discreet? They don't apply the same courtesy with people who litter and have to perform CWO but they are being discreet with people who visit KTV? Sounds like maybe some of the visitors were senior government workers so there's some special treatment? I thought Singapore Gov't is free from corruption? Sigh....

Pre-Covid, these KTVs are very popular entertainment places for a lot of industries. Construction industry, marine industry, all kinds. Many are familiar with the concept of business and deals being made on the golf course. KTVs are where the relationship and rapport is built between business associates. Especially the non-atas type.

As much as they are employees of the establishment, what they are doing is 1. Illegal like what the both of you mentioned, since they are just on visiting pass. 2. Also morally wrong to sell your body to exchange for money. - Just like how it is morally wrong for the KTV owners to operate such businesses even if they know that they are flouting the rules and this could lead to an outbreak. There are many ways to earn money; people can work many odd jobs to support their family to get the same amount that the hostesses earn, but how can we say that what they are doing is not seeking the easy way out? If their families really need so much money from them, they are probably choosing a lifestyle that is way out of their reach. You can wish and work hard for a better life through right outlets. It is important for them to consider how their actions will impact others, in this case the entire Singapore. Even with the theory of dd & ss, the supply is also created by these hostesses who choose the easier way out to earn money. They chose to follow these establishments even if they were on visiting passes, so I feel that the blame towards them from the general public is still justified.

First thsir job is illegal, 2nd even its legal they will know the risk involved under such circumstances even u Don get covid u may get something else. I think the government IS at fault, though not the main culprit. Because I believe they would have known this kind of industry existed for so many years and did nothing effective to stop it. I mean these KTV can send recruitment msgs and advertisements online how can the govt not know. They KNOW but did nothing or at least not taking big movement. Singapore is a very small society one piece of shit can easily affect the entire society. So strict regulations must be implemented. The KTV, hostesses and patrons are all equally to be blamed. All for the same reason, breeching the social distancing rules and restrictions. Simple as that. I don't care if the KTV has need to earn money or the hostesses are pitiful, or the men are cheating. Those are all personal problems that should be addressed differently, through different channels like applying for relief grant or getting counseling for marriage or whatnot. I find it appalling that people are trying to shift the blame to these irrelevant problems or even justify it. The fact remains that all parties concerned broke the law and breeched the social distancing rules which is the root of the problem, they should all be punished for that. Simi ideas to make ktv fun or they could have kept people in one room, simi you'd do the same if you also illegally trying to work and earn money overseas, simi single is okay or married then cannot.
