Yes. The ABCs of the MacDonald triad of a) arson, b) bedwetting, and c) cruelty to animals indicate a propensity toward violence. The Dark Personality Triad plus one equals the Dark Tetrad (i.e., 1. psychopathy, 2. narcissism, 3. Machiavellianism, and 4. sadism). This is the stuff of criminality and, apparently, thieves and murderers. So, Stacy's lack of cooperation led to the murders of her mother, Christine, and her sister, Lucy, before her conviction for fraud. It is crazy that John had his weapons returned to him after his first threat.

@vonclod123 same thing with the waffle restaurant crime. The young man was schizophrenic and got into trouble with the police several times. The police removed his guns and gave them to his father. SAME. It's easy to see why men would behave this way when society enables it all their lives (and women reward them by falling all over them), but for women to choose misogyny, abuse, infidelity & degradation over the peace of being single makes NO sense. Men put up with no such maltreatment while being expected to handle all the housework, child-rearing & things that should be their grown partner's responsibilities.

I agree!! People who make money off innocent animals are disturbed or lazy or both. Farmers included bc we’ve all seen how factory farming works even on a “local” farm. Animals being mistreated, I just can’t. They’re innocent and have no idea what’s happening to them, they only know fear and pain. Breeders are the same kind of awful in my book. I worked with an animal rescue here in my town and to see how many people breeding animals do awful things to them - things I don’t ever want to think of - one poor baby was so overbred (pit bull) she had a prolapse and ate rocks bc they weren’t feeding her. Skin and bones. I’ve never ever come across a “good” breeder. They will even off the little pups that are runts or don’t get purchased. Rabbit breeders are awful too. Breeders of any kind imo.

@@HeatherHoltHave you ever actually been on a family farm? My uncle's animals on his farm are treated better than most people. They follow him around like little puppy dogs. Hell they even have giant balls they play with and run around the big fields. Seeing a 1,000 lb of 2500 lb animal play with a ball like a cat is absolutely adorable. Yes they are used as food, because as humans we are omnivores and we should eat meat. My uncle just doesn't believe that the animals should be treated horribly before they are slaughtered. He wants to give them the best life they possibly can have. So stop with your blanket statements because I'm assuming you're a vegan and you guys are just annoying. I'm going to guess you're depressed, your skin tone probably has a grey caste to it; that's because you need meat to produce certain amino acids to facilitate dopamine production and other hormones in the body that you just can't get from beans. Unfortunately it has to come for animals because that's how we're built. Just look at our teeth... They're made for eating both plant and animal matter.

Easy to say- but, not really helpful in reality. The possession (or lack thereof) of financial resources often dictates the number and quality of options available. Thus, even if red flags are observed and recognized, there may be a limited number of alternative options available.

It makes me sad to think of what Susannah, Lucy and all the animals went through. It’s also tragic that Christine moved her daughters into that situation. I don’t agree with what Christine did AT ALL. I know she was probably abused, but she put herself and worst of all her daughters in danger. The entire thing is sick and sad. I imagine he was also horrible to his animals. There was probably so much mistreatment happening at the hands of this ugly, awful old man. People who commit domestic violence should not have access to weapons. Two of the biggest red flags- animal abuse and domestic abuse. A person who is capable of not one but BOTH of these things should DEFINITELY not be given his guns back.

...of course they did. Everything except skipping over the previous "threats to kill others part"
@Vonononie
@Vonononie 10 ай бұрын
@@DavidHBurkart I think the issue is the police aren’t an homogeneous lump. The police going out and dealing with him (he had had a lot of contact with them over the years) knew he shouldn’t have the shotguns, hence they took them away. But once he asked for them back it’s down to a different department and their legal advisers to decide if they go to court and fight the matter. They obviously decided not to challenge it. As there was no justification for him to have modified shotguns, he didn’t have a legal case to keep them, so those were the ones the local force could keep away from him. I believe these procedures have completely changed now, as this case was a few decades ago and there was an enquiry afterwards

@Vonononie
@Vonononie 10 ай бұрын
@@WyndStryke but they weren’t entitled to remove his shotguns as he had never had a custodial sentence. That would automatically make the removal of the firearms legal, but without that history the police would be challenged in court. Also the recent charges had been dropped as the victims decided not to prosecute. No prosecution means there’s no criminal record. As Dr G said it left the police in a difficult position. For the puppy farm, that prostitution was probably brought by the RSPCA in a civil court. It’s not escalated to criminal court unless the farm continued, but it seems he hadn’t been charged or taken to criminal court before the main crimes. So you have a man with no custodial sentencing, and no current crimes under investigation. I can see why the lawyers didn’t want to refuse the shotgun return. But the local police, who probably knew him well, did what they could not to return all the firearms. I believe this is now different and the Chief Constable can make the decision under a different criteria, but that wasn’t the case a few decades ago

We have very strict gun laws here in the UK but occasionally a licence is granted to an entirely unsuitable person with tragic consequences. This was one example - a man known to be violent and showing signs of dementia. Another was the Plymouth "incel" Jake Davison (also covered by Dr Grande) who lived at home with his mother and had absolutely no "good reason" as required by law to own a firearm. Another strange thing about this case is that the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) is normally very determined in their actions and pretty ruthless against repeat offenders. I'm surprised that John Lowe wasn't monitored closely to ensure he stopped his horrible practices.

Hi Dr. Grande, I've followed your videos & have been a subscriber for several years. You could safely say I am a fan & enjoy your content. I just wanted to comment this one time about how I appreciated your restraint in the often over use of bad, predictable puns in your summation. You still kept with your MO but exercised some rather unexpected restraint this time & only included a few obvious puns.. It was mildly refreshing but not over done. Your use of puns were as always, humorous but more so this time as a direct result of not being over done or over the top like most of your summations. I'm just commenting on your selection & use of puns, not actually diagnosing your over use of puns in your previous videos & just offering my opinion on this one instance. I trust you receive this constructive criticism in the good spirit that was intended. Thumbs up on this one. Cheers from Canada.

Those poor animals 😢 please please please adopt...and while we’re on the topic of people who make a profit off of the bodies of non-human animals, please also leave animals off of your plate (as much as possible). I just feel sick thinking about all the weirdos who regularly abuse animals and cut their lives extremely short when they’re no longer ‘useful’ to them

Based on the comments, I don’t think I have the stomach to watch this one. The way you crank out these videos, your work ethic is unbelievable, Dr. Grande. Using the OCEAN acronym, you are redlining the Conscientiousness category.

You should listen to these cases that are difficult to hear. We should know the depths that humans are capable of sinking to. If not to protect yourself, then to recognize signs that you could help others to notice.

I am curious as to why the public initially thought he was a respectable dog breeder. Once relationships are isolated like that, especially when they were unstable before, there is potential for all types of things to happen. There is not much anyone can do for social circles like that when they are out of sight.

Stay far, far away from anyone who is cruel to animals. That would be a good indicator of how evil this person was. What were those women thinking? I feel sorry for any animals that came into his puppy mill. What a cruel, wicked human being. The women had a choice, the animals didn't.
