I rescued a puppy on a six foot chain when I was 10. I traded my Barbie Doll for him. Best dog EVER! So smart too and appreciative. Rescues are the BEST. They never forget who saved them. 💙🐾💙

Getting out of work one day I also rescued a puppy wondering around a busy street. I picked her up to put her in a yard and a big dog was going to attack her! Then I looked around and put her in my car to take home. I figured anyone that would let a little puppy just roam near busy streets doesn’t deserve to have her! Best dog! We had her for 16 years!😊

I will never, never, never understand why humans do this. If you are incapable of caring for an animal, then don't buy it, adopt it, or whatever the case is. Thank you for saving her. One of my first rescues was a dog I named Zevon. I remember fostering him took him to park that had a bunch of ponds and told him if you swim I’ll keep you. Needless to say he jumped in and I kept him. Was my best friend for years. ❤️

I’m from PR, the south specifically, I was born in Ponce but my family comes from Guayanilla, where strays are rampant and they’re just accepted. But most are completely harmless. With people who have the means and will to help them, more strays like Twiggy can find the loving homes they need to help clean the streets of suffering animals. One dog at a time.
