I really enjoyed that, Sam. Pure and Easy is one of my favorite Who songs and an often overlooked and underrated gem. Odds and Sods is such a great collection of Who music.

Love the way the acoustic and electric kind of "take turns" being lead or rhythm and then come together at certain parts. One of the favorite parts of The Who (and Pete Townshend's songwriting in general) is the way the instruments are orchestrated and this is a great example of that!

Pete always had an incredible balance of acoustic and electric blending just right. This was fantastic Sam...really well done.

A. I love this song as I did in the late summer of 1971 when it was released. B. I had a ‘68 walnut SG special just like this. C. This shows the underrated guitar work and writing of Pete. D. You play it so well! E. Only an SG special can nail that sound.

Great cover. I also believe Pete released a version of Pure And Easy on his first solo album Who Came First in 1972.

Very nicely done! The SG Special is such a great guitar! My '99 SG Special is the best guitar I've ever had or played.

Most underrated The Who song and one of my favorites. It's a shame it isn't on any of their studio albums, but then The Who got so many great unused songs, especially in this era, that you could fill 3 albums worth of tracks. Nice job, would love to see you doing Young Man Blues or I Can See For Miles.

Can’t do a gear there and everywhere with this band cause their gear was everywhere at the end of every show 😂 Keith’s kit (Broken) Pete’s Guitar (broken) Rogers mic (thrown into the crowd) John’s bass (immaculate and put back in its case)👍🏻

One of my dad's favourite bands. The electric and acoustic guitar go together so well. The 12 string has that sort of resonating electric sound, despite being acoustic, making a good accompaniment. Good job Sam 👏

I much prefer this version over the Odds and Sods version. Everything's a lot clearer, and you've got all able singers in the chorus at the end.

Are the P90’s on your SG flush mounted to the body without ability to raise them without modifying? I just got a ‘63 SG Special Custom Shop and the neck pickup is significantly louder than the bridge despite being lower. Loosening the screws on the bridge pup doesn’t raise it. I’ve read that this is true to how they made them in the 1960’s. People on internet mention putting foam or springs under the pups so they can be raised. Have you done anything with yours to allow adjustments? Unscrewing the pole piece screws is not ideal because it moves the pole away from the coil. Pole height should only be raised minimally (1/2 to 1 turn) above flush to cover and follow the neck radius. Best tone is obtained by raising whole pup height which I can’t do. My SG sounds pretty good, but the volume balance is way off.

It’s been awhile, but I believe I was able to raise and lower the p90’s with the side screws with ease. But regardless, adjusting the individual pole piece height is a common trick and doesn’t harm the tone in any way. Just helps you get a more balanced tone across the strings If you see closeups of Lennon’s casino, he had the pole pieces raised pretty high
