I started my juicing career in 1992. Of course, the juicer I started with was a Trillium Juiceman 2, pitched by Jay Kordich. Since then, I have gone through over a dozen juicers, including a Norwalk. About one year ago, I purchased a Pure juicer. I have waited to review it in order to give it a fair assessment. Quality... Top notch... I am a voracious juicer, sometimes juicing up to 5 gallons at a time. The Pure juicer is the best I have ever owned, making super high quality, silky smooth, delicious juice! Longevity... Top notch... I have had this juicer for almost a year, and it is running as strong as the day I bought it! My Norwalk has been mitigated to a storage bin in the garage. Ease of use... Top notch... 2 stage juicing will always be more labor intensive than other types of juicing. Personally, I am okay with that. I am purchasing expensive organic produce, and it is important to me to get every possible drop. It is also important that my Organic produce is not forced through plastic chutes and screens...BPA free or not! I am also not tearing the juicer down, several times a juicing session to clean it...because it is all gummed up with pulp. Customer service... Top notch... I had a problem with the cutting knife, and called Pure. I was transferred to the owner of Pure within minutes and sent a shipping label. Pure went above and beyond to make things right! Price... Top notch... The reason I have been through so many juicers...is I keep burning the motors out, or some cheap plastic part will break rendering the juicer useless. Some of these plastic juicers cost well over $500, and are dead within a year of intensive use, not to mention your juice is being processed through plastic! Backed by a 12 year transferable warranty, the cost of a Pure juicer is a great value. When you think of all the things you are willing to spend a chunk of money on, how many of them are an investment towards your present and future health? Satisfaction... Top notch... This is a great juicer. I used it everyday for several months. Before purchasing the PURE Juicer, I borrowed a friends Norwalk for a month. After using both units, I can say that the PURE has improved features over the Norwalk for less cost. It's a no-brainer for me. Get the PURE Juicer if you need the most robust and efficient juicer on the market.

wow and i bought the norwalk juicer 2 1/2 yrs ago this is way better i can only press 2 cups at a time and that makes it very long and boring thats why im getting the wells press to juice faster.

The PURE will make sugarcane juice. For occasional SC juice yes, for ongoing SC juice I’d recommend a dedicates SC juicer.

As a previous Norwalk owner, now a PURE owner, the pure is superior in many ways. You can press as long as you like without worrying about breaking the machine. You can only press 10 seconds on a norwalk before it fails. The PURE extracts more juice than the norwalk. There is no blow back with the PURE. Basically the PURE is a higher quality made juicer than the norwalk. The only similarity to them is that they are a two stage cold press juicer! Oh and the PURE IS A FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS LESS IN PRICE. it’s an Amazing juicer!!

This is a Variation of the " Norwalk Juicer " a friend of mine had or still dose a 1953 model [ as in year ] ! " This model " looks to be " Close to a patent infringement, " except for a few changes ! The Norwalk used a Stainless Steel cylindrical Cuter [ w/ little teeth ] and they " Trisherated " the fruits & Vegetables., i.e. " breaking open the cell to get the R.N.D. & D.N.A out. Then there was a Tower w/ 4 pillars and a Hydrolic Press w/ a 3 inch diameter shaft which would compress the 3 musselin cloths or " Bags" ( 0:52 ) at 1900 pounds per square inch ! When the Process was through , the only thing left in the " bags " was " Plant Cellulose " it was " pale orange " or " pale white " ! Even the horses wouldn't eat them / because there were " No Nutrients Left !! PURE holds it's own patents and is in violation of no intellectual property. The 1953 Norwalk's were way ahead of their time BUT the feed tubes and juice trays were made from cast aluminum. On the PURE, all food contact parts are lab-certified stainless steel. Our hardened 440C SS cutter never needs sharpening and our press squeezes at 5,400lbs of force more than any other juicer, commercial or residential. Design and manufacturing have come a long way in the last 67 years.
