I have done the MPV not slide effect for decades by clicking and dragging My mouse up and down the piano roll while recording. Great for putting the effect into a production but cant be done live, I think push 3 is a better solution.

I've always loved doing live playing on my launchpad mini. Even though I don't do full performances, I've always craved more. However, even with the functionality in Ableton, I've never thought it was enough. I'm building my bedroom studio up to be an environment that makes producing more fun to me. I feel like this will not only be able to have a lot more fun producing, but might also full send me on a switch to Ableton as my main DAW from FL Studio.

The price of this thing (factoring in the upgrade to turn it standalone, and if you don’t own Ableton Suite (there is only one way to get software like Ableton, and Bitwig, fully loaded) in Canada will be painful.

Can we connect a Workstation keyboard as the Roland Fantom with only the USB? Like on computer, that appears all the 16 channels of the keyboard as separated audio channels. In this way we still could plug a Guitar and Mike on the inputs... It would be nice.

Please forgive the VERY specific question, but I use push 2 alongside my hammered dulcimer. I’ve longed for the possibility to tap the Push 2 buttons with my hammers (their weight is similar to tapping with a pencil) to trigger or drum, but alas, Push 2 isn’t sensitive enough. You excited me when mentioning Push 3’s greater sensitivity. Here’s my ask, would you mind seeing if lightly tapping the 3 using a common pencil with the eraser end is sufficient to trigger the pads? Pretty please? Love your work, and I understand if you can’t get to my silly request.

Hi again, so i don't really know if this is the right place but ill still post it here, if it is possible for you to convey it to the Ableton team it would be really nice of you. So one thing i desperately miss in Ableton live is that the macros on the racks dont match up to the vst control they've been mapped to. Example, i have mapped a pattern select button on a vst(which has 8 options) to a macro knob on the rack...i would like the macro knob to correspond to those 8 options. One way(if they implement it), one way to do this would be to right click on the macro knob and click divisions menu option and enter a number.... example 8. Now when i move my midi controller's knob the macro knob on the rack cycles between the 8 divisions rather than fluidly going from min to max. So then its useful if mapped to a 0-127 regular knob/fader or to a two state on off button or four state button or an 8 state control...this would make Ableton much more useful ...and i wish that you would convey this to the Ableton team... sincerely vishesh Edit: i dont any other way to reach out to Ableton team and hence im writing it here.

When I was live streaming in Ableton Live I could record enable a vocal and a keyboard and play them both together. I have not been able to record enable two tracks on PUSH 3. Do you know how to do that? : ) I have not been able to figure out how to do it in PUSH 3... : / Help! : )

Yes. But not quite as bad. It's a little better on USB-C. Perhaps not as much as you'd hope, but a little.

Quick question... What weight does it say on the outside of the box? I ordered a Push Controller version and UPS is telling me my package weighs 7kg! Now I know the Controller version is 3.1kgs and add some packaging & the weight of the PSU, plug and USB cable and I would say gross weight is around 5 to 5.5 kgs max. I have now idea how this package is 7kg unless Ableton put some bricks in there too🤔 😄😁

kinda cool, but its not for me since my push never leaves my little studio, soooo I'm not that impressed. I was really hoping they would make it simple to integrate third party plugins/insturments, since I dont really like using a lot of the stock plugins even though I use Push2 as more of a fun sketchpad.

The idea of the push 3 is to come up with music away from the Computer but finish the songs on a PC, where you can then switch out your sounds with your preference of plugins.

Hmm... Think I will stay with my Push 2 (that I hardly ever use) for now. Do not need a lackluster sound card and considering just how little focus there was on completing the Push 2 software implementation wise after their release, suffice to say time will tell if they will do just as little work, and just as few updates to these new "trying to do it all" Push 3 devices.

Completely agree with you and this comes from someone who uses Push 2 a lot. Lot of folks don't need that audio interface nor standalone features. The only cool part is those MDE compatible pads... I would've liked to see extra visual integration with M4L devices, and more optimisation to make it a nice performance machine. Just some ideas i would've liked to see: - a 16 Level Pitch layout for individual drumrack pads like on the old MPC's - Redistribute/re-commit notes in a midi clip to a newly selected scale/rootnote by the push of a button.. - Just let the pads from drumrack have the same 'mute lock' behaviour as the track mute buttons: why do I still need one finger pressed on the general 'mute ' button on the top left corner while muting/unmuting drumrack pads with the other?

Yo can divide a track into different parts in session view and it'll work as cue points, you just have to set it first

I really miss the old LNA channel. I am respectfully aware that you must earn more money to invest in your career and you are a truly nice person. I hear you, but must admit this comment hits somehwere in my insecurities. As I mentioned in a video last Novemeber I am changing my career more from ”educator” to a full-time musician/producer. This transition means I have less time to do videos, and as brands luckily want to work with me, I need to find balance between content I want to make, income and music. It’s not easy and I am still finding my way. (I have lots of ideas for cool content I want to make though) That is why non of the sponsored videos I have recently done, are fully about the product but about me making my music.. whilst featuring products/techniques I use really in my workflow. I want to assure you that I only promo things that I truly like and use, and all is stuff that I feel people can actually benefit from. This video about Push is not sponsored though.
