The engine brake also has a metal piece on it to ground the coil in case the engine brake does not work. That is why it is so sensitive.

Very impressive how that tiny engine managed to get up to 7-8mph with a smaller transaxle pulley. My Craftsman LT3000 with a swapped-in 20hp V-twin 407777 Briggs can only go up to 5mph in 6th gear with the wind blowing you along. Granted, it's also got more than plenty of power to not stall out on a slight grade or when a wheel slips. Especially when it's pulling a trailer loaded with heavy stuff. I've always thought it would be fun to have a push mower engine in a smaller riding mower, because why not. So thanks for showing us all how it's like.

my father bought one just like this in 1975, 36 inch cut. 11.5 HP I think Briggs & Stratton. I remember him hollering at me to quit riding the clutch, you will burn the belt up😂 a belt back then was $25.

Man do you need A actual riding lawnmower engine? That's definitely not safe to be doing at all on A riding lawnmower. Where are you located at man?

Thats really slow. I had much heavier tractor, narrowed car rear axle and gearbox in a MTD mastercut frame and 190cc b&s, it would flat out in 4th gear at about 50kmh/30mph, but that was slight downhill, also the engine blew after few hours of going flat out and banging gears, con rod snapped You need heavier flywheel thinner oil and better carburetor
