Hi Jiri, I have my amp usually set with quite a clean tone, with maybe a little gain. My pedal had a delay of about 0.4 seconds. Some reverb and a little compression. I'm sorry i cant be more exact but it has made me realise that i need to make some notes when i do a vid so that i can answer very good questions like yours. Thanks for watching Stevo

Hi S,S. sometimes i dont get notifications of comments for some reason , so i must have missed this. Sooooo, strumming pattern. Its one of my bug bears really. I found when learning that i actually found it very confusing listening to others explaining strum patterns. Just Found it much better to keep playing it until the pattern came. True, some have to be explained but i try to teach the way i found it easiest to learn , if that makes sense. Thanks so much for the comment, very interesting to hear your opinion.👍

I know you posted this 4 years ago, but are you muting at all in the intro or letting both strings ring fully? Thanks so much for all your work!!
@StevoGuitar Жыл бұрын
Hi richard, As you come across the fret board your muting the higher strings. So at first the b- string is open and rings out along with the fretted e-string. Then the g-string is open and rings out along with the fretted b-string. with the high e-string automatically muted by the finger you are using to play the b-string. But really the main thing is to hit the two strings together, with no others, and let them ring... Hope that helps.

Hey Steve, As a guitar newbie I have a couple of questions if I may. What pick thickness are you using? it looks to be quite light in weight. And how did you manage to get that sound from the guitar? What settings, amp, that help produce the sound? And lastly :) where did you get the backing track from :) Many thanks! and love the videos!
@StevoGuitar3 жыл бұрын
Hi William, Thanks for watching. I rarely use a pick. I use the edge of my index finger for just about everything. That said, if i do use a pick, it will be as light as possible. Downside is that they break regularly. Unfortunately i didnt make notes of settings but i think if you scroll down through the comments i think i have given out my settings as best as i could remember. Definitely some delay and some gain. sorry i cant be more specific but i think its a relatively easy sound to achieve unlike some others. As for the backing track. Sadly the website was bought out by one of those guitar tab sites and now you have to pay subscription to get the tracks. Backingtrack.com. is the site.I searched for the reason it had shut down and somebody had posted a link to a sort of back up copy of the site. Not all of the tracks work but miraculously 'Push' does. Heres the link and i have just tried it and it is working. All the best Steve. web.archive.org/web/20151119053504/www.guitarbackingtrack.com/play/cure,_the/push.htm

Hi jorge, I have digitech rp 360 multi pedal that replicates many different amps and pedals. It was set with a 'chunk' amp . A delay pedal of about 0.4 sec. Also had compression with the level and sustain at about the noon position.....the problem is that i also use an amp that models sounds and i dont remember what settings exactly were on it, though i generally use it with quite a clean tone with a little reverb. Sorry i couldn't be more helpful but it has made me decide to make some notes when i do a vid so that i can answer very good questions like this. Thanks stevo
