Roses, any chance the raccoon squirrel, is actually...a cat? Only because if its name is Inspector Le Chat, that’s cat in French! Also, some trivia: little Stevie is played by Angela Lansbury’s grandson Ian Lansbury, and is his one and only acting credit. Which may be why his delivery is a little stilted and missing that over the top exuberance of 90s child actors. Great ep to cover, and relieved to know I’m not the only one who does not love season 12!

Most horrific thing I learned about puppets in this video: One of them fathered Candace Bergen. I mean, she's cool and funny, but it's still creepy to imagine having a puppet as a parent.

Read her biography sometime. Her father (the real one, that is) treated her like crap all her life, and was psycho enough to force her to compete with his puppets for his attention. Charlie McCarthy had his own bedroom in their house, and was left $10,000 in Bergen's will. Candice was left out of the will completely as a final slap in the face.

Oh hey, I've only seen the first episode Bryan Cranston did for this show, "Menace, Anyone?". He was the corpse in that one, I guess by the final season he'd upgraded ;) That episode was also pretty wild, but it was a lot easier to keep track of the plot than this one looks to be (also Linda Hamilton was on it!) For your opening, yes, the network actually *had* given up on Murder She Wrote and was looking to dump it because it didn't have a desirable demographic anymore. It ended up not panning out because every show they tried to put in its old time slot floundered and died. The title of the final episode, "Death by Demographics," was a jab at the show's inevitable fate. Angela Lansbury had considered stepping down anyway but this was not the way she wanted to end the series.

Fun and Fancy Free is one of my favorite pre-Disney Renaissance films, and Edgar Bergen was one of the major highlights of the experience for me as a kid. Although, I didn't catch on that he was the one providing the voices for Mortimer Schnerd and Charlie McCarthy until I was older; you can see his lips moving ever so slightly whenever he is in scene together with one or the other of his dummies. You can also see all three of them in 'An Hour in Wonderland', a Disney television special designed for the holiday season of 1950 as a precursor to the release of "Alice in Wonderland" in 1951. Good gods, this episode analysis brings back memories of the "FNAF meets the Muppets" Indie horror game Hello Puppets, although without the mind-controlling voodoo spell thing. Some of these puppets (and even the props) are kind of creepy.

I think the episodes, “If a body meet a body” should be discussed because it’s a Cabot cove episode and i love that in the episode, Jessica insists on not wanting to help and tupper insists on solving the case by himself but it ends up the usual Jessica figures out everything. And the episode, “trouble in eden” because the start of episode is weird. It’s mid conversation and then 5 mins later, someone tried to run over Jessica and her friend. Plus there’s a brothel and the lady who runs it was in the pilot episode (playing a different character) and rupaul said that is one of his favorite episodes. Also i think, “who threw the barbitals in mrs. fletcher’s chowder” would be a fun episode to talk about because you get to meet tupper’s sister played by Anne meara and her husband and his crazy family. Plus colleen camp being the most serious cop i have seen

Thank you so much for posting your videos on Golden Girls and Murder, She Wrote. I have started to watch them with my parents especially Murder, She Wrote and it's become a fun game for us to try and guess who the killer is. I would not have thought of giving the show a chance if it weren't for your videos.

Roses, do have any plans when you run out of MSW episodes? In the Heat of the Night series has some wacky episodes. Edit: nothing of this caliber mind you...

Can you review season 9 ep. 5 the dead file. It's like the only episode I remember watching as a kid. Thanks!

This episode is interesting. It shows the kind of things puppeteers go though to perform and puppets updated. The art work, the voice characters, the setting and more.

Hello, Pushinguproses! My mom and I have been binge-watching Murder, She Wrote since the quarantine began here in NYC, and we have an episode that we would love to see you cover! It’s called No Accounting For Murder, and it features a guy living in the walls and Ron Masak before he became Sheriff Metzger! We also love the episode To The Last Will I Grapple With Thee, and not only is it all about the Irish, it’s got a great twist at the end, too! Can’t wait to see what you post next!

Can I just say how pleasant your voice is to listen to? So many people on KZbin scream in your face or beg for subscribes - you just talk like a normal person, even about the wackiest of subjects. I appreciate it so much.

There's also at least one TV movie, South by Southwest.

Is that inspired by the Hitchcock movie North by Nortwest? Because if so I’m in.

Thank you so very much for this episode. Especially now when good entertainment on you tube is so important. Somehow I missed it when it aired, and I know I would have loved it. (In the 70's I did some puppetry, and even did some work on Public television in San Francisco.) And you have a nice singing voice.

Another great video! I forgot all about this episode! “So this guy’s dead” needs to be on a shirt haha. I like when you highlight the “bad” episodes!
