A hypothesis on Jess's nieces/nephews: they aren't actually related. Jess, being Jess, is just on very good terms their parents (think of the number of setups she engineers during the series) and has known these people as they've been brought up. So, for convenience, she's just 'Aunt Jessica' to as many random people as the series requires.
@Quartz_1118 ай бұрын
That fits so well tho
@kathyharris16278 ай бұрын
You are right for most of them and that is actually explained during the show several times. There are at least three that I recall were actually related: the one who goes on the cruise vacation with Jessica after she gets out of a mental hospital and we get to meet Jessica's brother (I think this was in the 1st season), the niece played by Courtney Cox who is the grand daughter of Frank's brother and of course Grady who was the son of Frank's brother who died in a car crash along with his wife and Frank and Jessica took Grady in explaining why Grady is the nephew we see most often.

Let's see. If we assume JF's family is prone to having lots of kids - let's say 6 per couple per generation. Jessica's parents have 5 siblings. Meaning Jessica would have up to 30 cousins. She herself has 4-5 siblings. Meaning if all procreate for an average of 6, that's 30 or so 'direct' neices/nephews, and 180 or so 'first cousins once removed' which in a close-knit family (Or clan, really, with these numbers), would likely just be added to the neice/nephew count.

If you haven’t already covered it, Season 10, Episode 12 has one of the most savage Jessica ending lines. After a nasal drip product commercial helps Jessica catch the killer, she says to the culprit, who has a severe allergy, “You might consider Nasal Drip. I know it certainly helped me clear things up.” As if the line weren’t savage enough, the delivery is made in such a way that the scene clearly belongs on any “savage moments of tv shows”-type video.

The costumes in this episode! Everything Jess is wearing is just amazing, the grimace power suit is unforgettable, as is the "I'M A SANDWICH DELIVERY MAN NOT HERE TO COMMIT ANY MURDERS" costume. It is serving "I'm here to commit a murder" realness. But I'm going to have to give MVP to the teal lady who shows up the the 7:17 mark in this video. The Zsazsa glasses. The Princess Di haircut. Her Ross Dress for Less polyester shroud, dyed a delectable shade of Baja Blast. The multiple rare murdered animals slung awkwardly over one shoulder, that seems to scream out in a chorus "no, she's never worn us before, and yes, we're a lot heavier and it's a lot hotter than she thought it would be!" I want to thank you Roses; I always heard about Murder, She Wrote and because of your videos I went to watch the first few episodes and now I'm hooked. I can't believe I never gave this show a chance when I was younger. If I can suggest an idea for another MSW video; can we get your top 10 favorite episodes? And if I can suggest an episode for you to review, "Jessica behind bars" from season 2 😊

Having watches this episode recently, it is mentioned that the security guard is from an agency and it is implied the agency was contacted to have him removed. Still a tenuous link but it does explain it somewhat

Yesss, so happy you uploaded!! Would love for you to cover season 2 episode 21, which features one of Frank's relatives!

I'm kind of hoping you get to review every episode because of how enjoyable your reviews of these shows are, Roses. Kink-Aid had me laughing pretty hard haha. Well dressed candy cane made me LMAO too. You rock.

It's mentioned in a few episodes that Jessica has Irish Catholic ancestry, so she probably has a LOT of siblings. My grandmother, who was from the same generation as Jessica, was one of twelve siblings and she had over 50 nieces and nephews!

As someone who's a quarter Irish on my mother's side, who are all Catholic, I can second that. My grandmother had six children and twenty grandchildren, including myself, and she was the same generation as Angela Lansbury, so I never question her scads of relatives.

Yep, David Ogden Stiers. That was the first thing I thought of when I saw the back of his bald head.

Winchester was pompous and arrogant, but an excellent doctor and had his humane moments (the chocolate for the orphans, giving a book to a stuttering soldier, helping the pianist soldier who lost use of his main hand) and was not quite as bad as he sometimes appeared at first glance. 😊 But yeah, Hawkeye certainly did not like him. 😂

i was thinking about jessica's nieces the other day: what if they're not related? i have several women my parents are friends with that call me their niece and i call my aunts, and it confuses people all the time. and there are several family friends of my grandparents that do the same!

I just started watching Murder She Wrote: South by Southwest, thinking it was a regular episode, but it just kept going, and I found out it was a TV movie. I think it would be great for a video!

That movie had a couple of character actors in it I love! Cliff Bemis.And Richard Riehle.🥰 Cliff did IHOP commercials for many years. Richard has been in a LOT of stuff.The Fugitive.And a couple episodes of the MSW series.😊

Hi PushingUpRoses! My fiancée and I love your 'That Time On Murder, She Wrote' series! Today we were watching Criminal Minds - 'The Fox' (Season 1, Episode 7) and were delighted to see Tony Todd appear playing 'Eric Miller'! Of course that led to the obligatory IMDB scroll through his full filmography when we came across this: Murder, She Wrote - Mrs. Parker's Revenge (Season 12, Episode 21): Tony Todd as National Security Agent Nathan Mitchell! So we thought we'd add it to the list of suggested episodes for you to cover as we are massive fans of horror icon Tony Todd!
