When I was a young far suburbanite and working with a construction crew in Chicago, I had the privilege of driving the company truck a half hour before lunch to pickup food for the guys from random places. One time they sent me to a restaurant to get everyone Chicago Style Dogs and they all said "Make sure all the dogs have ketchup on them or don't come back". When I placed the order, the guy at the place inflated his eyeballs and I thought he was going to kill me. I explained that ketchup was a must and I can not go back without it or the guys will be pissed. This old brickhead had no idea the guys were fucking with me. He angrily put his hand under the counter and shoved a handful of catchup packets in the bag and told me never to come back. This was over 20 years ago and I will never forget that day.

One huge topic that gets them pissed off on NFL is the Packers it's the biggest riverly since ever.

We call the Chicago metro area Chicagoland -- I believe the term was first coined by the Chicago Tribune. @timmmahhhh2 жыл бұрын
There are plenty of parking garages but they're not cheap, expect to pay $30/hour in the loop or North loop during business hours. Parking at Navy Pier that's available too but not cheap. Cheapest way to park is to park in a suburb and take a train in either Metra or CTA. If you're near O'Hare you could park at the Cumberland Avenue garage and take the blue line in. If you're coming in from the West burbs you can find free on street parking in South Oak Park on the streets along the Eisenhower close to one of the blue line stops there. I live in the West burbs and I have a Prius C, in part for the gas mileage but in big part because it's a small car that gives me more parking opportunities particularly on street.

Contrary to public perception, deep dish is not the most common pizza in Chicago. Tavern pizza is. Very thin, very crisp, cut into squares. (Actually, more like four sided polygons which are square-like.) You can put ketchup on whatever you like. I personally would not defile my food like that. But if you paid for it, do what you want. Wrong about Chicago drivers. I find them much more patient than other big cities. If you are from the Chicago area (which includes NW Indiana) and you are in Europe, NY, LA, etc, it is fine to say you are from Chicago. What really pisses people from Chicago off is using tired old stereotypes. And saying Chitown.
