When he said "I'll block it with my body" I knew something would go wrong. I think there must be a law in comedy that says this won't turn out as you planned, but it will be funny.

My parents had seen a matinee while we kids were skiing that day. They dropped us off immediately before dinner to see it so we could all be on the same page. I remember falling off my theatre seat I was laughing so hard! Greatest movie ever!

This movie still holds up today. So often older comedies are kind of irrelevant in their humor, but this has stood the test of time

Modern comedies on the other hand are less than irrelevant. Most of them are just cringe, and literally no one is comparable to anything made by Brooks. Politically correct and wokeness just killed comedy for good.

My God,a coworker and I were fighting getting an awkward brace inside a large bridge girder. When we finally wrestled into place he was trapped behind it. His response was "put the candle back". Being familiar with the movie we laughed endlessly!

I saw this on one of my father's VHS tapes back in the late 80s when I was a kid. He passed last year at 78 from prostate cancer. One of the directors he liked was Mel Brooks and appreciated Gene Wilder's humor and acting skills. Also, Gene Wilder's hair is sxy and I've always thought that since I was very young actually. Great movie and hilarious! :D

This movie is full of great comedic lines. How about when the doc asks Igor to help with the bags. Igor says "You take the blonde and I'll take the one with the turban." Saw the bloopers ... they had a tough time getting through that scene.
