Putin's Show Of Air Power in NATO Backyard | Russian Bombers Make UK, Norway Scramble Fighter Jets

NATO forces intercepted and escorted a fleet of Russian jets flying over the Northeast Atlantic amid the Ukraine crisis. UK's RAF said that it scrambled Typhoon jets in order to intercept unidentified aircraft approaching the UK. According to the Russian Defence Ministry, the fleet was part of a training exercise and was carrying out a search for submarines of a mock enemy. Meanwhile, New satellite images show a further expansion of the military presence at multiple locations in Belarus, Crimea and western Russia.

Actually its pretty common thing, Russians and before them Soviets usually send/sent planes along our coast, and as every nations do .. they scramble jets to identify the jets that are flying. Despite what you might thing... a Radar only tells something is there, it does not nessesary tells what it is, thats why you send up planes to identify and tell the others .. we are watching !!! (well they might not even know the F-35's are even there). And what you might not maybe know is that the russians have been pretty aggressive up here with GPS jamming and that ... is dangerous as civilian airtraffic up here have felt that at times, sometimes their only navigation have been visual flying !!! and we know the source of this jamming comes from the russian side.

Ukraine will defeat the enemy Russia. US made antitank weapons mean that Putin's tanks are cactus. Russia was pretty hopeless in WW2 it took them 3 years to inflict a major defeat against Hitler's armies on the eastern Front at Stalingrad and that's only because the weaker Hungarian and Romanian held lines were penetrated. Australian and NZ troops were able to defeat a German division in WW2 in North Africa at Tobruk long before the Soviet Union and capture German held territory. So much for Russian military domination.

I served in the Marines and I can tell you NATO is the problem. Think of it this way. During the Cold War Russia had buffer zones with the Warsaw pack countries. NATO still has this but Russia does not. Imagine if you put NATO forces into Ukraine. Kyiv to Moscow is only 800 miles apart. Kyiv is not even the most eastern city in Ukraine. If someone from NATO fires a missile into Russia it can hit Moscow in 1.5 to 2 minutes. There is no response time. That means, Russia will have to retaliate with for force. There is no time for de-escalation. Counties like the US and Russia do not have time to stop what has started. NATO wants war with Russia that includes our corrupt politicians in DC. I'm not a fan of Putin but you can see where this is going. The US military is not getting my kids to go fight this war.

The scary thing about this is that this can devolve to where both sides can begin a shooting war if there is any kind of miscalculation in one's intentions. Not only that, there are 30 NATO countries against Russia. If Russia realizes that it cannot win in a conventional shootout, this can turn nuclear in a hurry.

The solution is easy. NATO just has to announced that Ukraine as to abide to it's obligation of the Minsk agreement first to gain back enough diplomatic trust before they accept to receive any request from Ukraine to join NATO. It´s not quite true that the talks are going nowhere. They are going in the right direction for a Russian point of view. Croatia have said no to support this western made situation. So have Hungary and I believe Bulgaria. France, Italy, Germany are not all on board and some few other EU countries.
