I’m Italian. There are many Russians in Italy. Also in Bergamo, Verona, Milan, Venice and the North. Russia has more control so the leadership is more effective. They are practicing self-isolation because the country knows that situations can quickly escalate hence the immediate paranoiac closure of the borders. They can effectively implement executive orders which “democratic” nations fail to do. I adore Russia and wish the western world will someday honour and respect their resilience and dedication to their own people.

If you need to drive, the police will send you home unless a valid reason to be out can be proved, some may even be fined about 75 dollars equivalent (£60). Good luck my friend. Here in Detroit three weeks ago we had one of our construction sites quarantined when we arrived to do work. We laughed and said someone probably jsut had the flu so they panicked and closed the site down prematurely. That was the first time it came to our state and now TONS of people are getting infected a short time later. As others said, it seems far away and like you dont need to take it too seriously, but it spreads fast and strong. Of course quarantine will NOT stop the virus it will only delay it and slow it down. All we can hope for is some sort of vaccine in the next year or two for those strong enough to resist it.

Living in Massachusetts, USA, with over 5,000 cases and almost 60 deaths now, I can tell you that many people STILL go out to the grocery stores and act like this is no big thing. I work at a grocery store and I see this every day! Many of these shoppers do not need to come into our stores so often. They should shop once, to last them a week or two. Instead, many people go to grocery stores every day or so ! I've seen people come in with friends and just walk around without buying anything!!! That is how this virus spreads! I HAVE to be there! They don't! I do NOT want this virus or any other virus, that they might inadvertently pass on to me, or anyone else. Stay home means STAY HOME!

@Kyril J Hi. What is the percentage of those infected and die from the flu? From what I've learned, it's 0.1%. With the coronavirus, the mortality rate is between 1 and 3%. That's 10 times more lethal than the flu ( I'm getting this info from the National institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases ). So it's the severity of this virus that is the reason why the world is trying to mitigate it. Also, there currently is no immunity; no known treatment, no vaccine and a longer incubation period than the flu. If the world just treated the corona virus like the flu, then I believe there will be far more deaths from this corona virus, than the flu.

Swimbait1 ; Please provide evidence of your allegations. The US is NOT gaining “thousands of cases per day”. The projection models for this particular virus, which nearly every hysterical person claims is true, are false. The British scientist Ferguson was called to Parliament, and he admitted his model was wrong. This is not the first, and it won’t be the last virus to affect the globe. What happens next season? And vit. D & C Its about keeping the rate of infection slow. We are all socail distancing in Australia.. its not bad yet here & hopefully we are all doing the right things to keep it not going too fast. It's about slowing the spread. It is a bronchial virus, that can develop into pneumonia. Mainly so far it is the elderly who have died, aged between 60 & 80.. about 19 approx. I remember the video also that you did, about closing the boarder between Russia & China... that was a very smart move. Our cases came from overseas that came into or from returning citizens from overseas! As it started to spread communally, our states & territories shut their individual boaders & we shut our Country boarders up. We in Australia don't have the same numbers as overseas. But every thing has progressed rather quickly. Life is now very different, we can still go out if we must, but no more then two people at a time, some shops are still open, but most have been closed down, cafè's & restaurant can only do takeaways & home delivery. Our issue may be more, when do we come out of our hibernation... the federal government is talking six months or longer! It is amazing what we are seeing all over the world. There are reports from citizens of the epicenter in China, it was more like 5000 that may have died & do not believe that it is only old people ect... young people, even healthy people can get complications. I hope like Russia we have acted quickly enough. Our curb was going up, but it may be flattening, but apperently this virus does weird things & anything is possible, but I feel blest to be in Australia, our Government has kind of made a arc to see it through. But after we will have big depression to deal with. We have to wash fruit & veggies, becareful of what we take & bring into our homes as it can sit on surfaces. So to disinfect & wash our hands too. When out to wear gloves. Your Russia is so beautiful... hopefully Pres. Putin has acted at the right time, to slow it down. We are trying to take care of the elderly & indigenous people, also those with disabilities, low Immunocomprimised. Take care of your gorgeous family. Sending love from here in Oz 🐨🇦🇺 Love your video's ♡

I agree. Russians tend not to go to Europe (need a Schengen visa). Rather Egypt, Cyprus, etc, where visas are easy, or not required. Also, I've read that the Russian test for COVID-19 may not be as sensitive as say the US version, resulting in fewer positives. Anyway, we're all in it together. Another great video. Looking to get back to SPb when this is over :)

I thank you and your country for sending aid to the US. I hope the world will be a lot closer and friendly going forward, minus the CCP nobody will ever trust them again. Thanks for sharing and as always keep building👍

It's obvious this thing can really get out of hand if no measures are taken at all. It's even kind of getting out of hand if partcial lockdowns are done. Yeah our city in US is like this, but just a bit more traffic. Everything closed except banks, grocery stores and pick up at restaurants (you can't go inside). Parks are open but playground equipment is off limits. Just take it somewhat cautious and be safe, but no reason to panic. Mostly your older relatives are at risk. Nice look at how you all are handling it.

After such a demonstration of trust towards your government, you are likely to be soon offered a position at Russian Today)) Thanks for keeping offering authentic news from Russia, though I think you may have some blindspot on that specific topic.
