Fuck I loved this collab, love, love, loved it!! Hearing you two talking about lore and your own theories, taking each other's ideas and perceptions and using that to further compile on your own theories and ideas was amazing. Great back and fourth, kinda cut off the guy a little bit I feel but the self awareness to notice that and apologies, and the respect to let it go and let you cook, truly a great collab with great respect for one another! I want more, 3 and a half hours wasn't enough!!

I must ask, you guys were talking about some of the later compendium books were more from perspectives. And a good hint was the emerald dream and how it had 4 explanations to its creation. What about the in game Adventure Guide entries for Dungeons and Raids? Is that perspective, or straight canon? I bring it up because the entry for Nymue in Amirdassil states "when Eonar and Freya shaped the dream" Which in no way sounds like that'd be the true creation of the Dream, maybe it's referring to when the Titans found the Dream and then "ordered" it. But why would Eonar, a Titan, need a Keepers help with a small bit of her own power to help her "shape" the dream? Or, is it possible the Keepers are named after other important figures to the Titans? Like an original Life Titan was once called Freya and close to/ or maybe a sister perhaps of Eonar? Together they did shape the original Emerald Dream. Maybe she was then killed by Aman'thal to help bind Eonar to him and his Titan pantheon, then she made a Keeper in her honour? I'm just spit balling at this stage

I tried playing FF14 but I just couldn't connect with it. The running around and reading story for hours is too much for me, and I felt like I was just stuck in a weird errands loop. Nothing felt epic to me for some reason. I wasn't a fan of DF for quite a few reasons but it was at least more palatable to me than FF.

WoW story telling wasn't as strong in Legion as people think. People really shit on BFA for its systems, but its story has probably been one of the strongest minus the sylvanas element

So here's technically four somethings interesting I noticed this morning after watching Acco's version of this: 1.) has anyone noticed how Sargeras's belt has the same 'rune' (not sure how to classify it) in his Burning form as when he's with the Titans, only different color? and 2.) the runes on his shoulder straight up change shape, implying that they're either the same material and the runes just show up different, or that he got new ones after his burning self was unleashed. (also the swords are different, but i think this is just due to the fact that it symbolized to him the chains of the Titans and he straight up got another sword) 3.) in the cinematic, the Titians say: "Brother, your crusade is over" than Sargers says 'No' and stabs the planet. But the way Sargeras says, 'No' doesn't sound like a defiant or anguished no. it sounded more like No, i will return cause i'm just going to leave my sword stuck in your plans and the only way to get it out is if i take it back.

With the old gods/azeroth connection. Azeroth may WANT to be corrupted, if the titan's have imprisoned her and maybe pumping order magic or water into her, there may need to be a counter force to help balance or break those Titan constraints.

Im been interested in hakkar, the soul flare. I like how there is not much information about the loa of blood and why what we think he is an evil loa, trying so hard to come in reality. He reminds me of Quetzalcoatl the maya and aztic god, of wind and knowledge. But we know they are not the same, all though there were sacrifices made in their name. Did you know the name America was the of name the indigenous called it and not just some guys last name. Land of plume serpent, ties with Quetzalcoatl an ancient feather serpent, much like hakkar. Just throwing my thoughts out there.

At this point in time this is the only "cannon" origin to the Old Gods, if I remember correctly. Other than "From the Void" -Blizzard can pick & choose what is cannon after all. "From the moment the universe came to be, dark spirits within the Void sought to twist reality into a realm of endless torment and chaos. These void lords, envious of the Pantheon's power, pooled their power and created the Old Gods to exert their influence over a titan in its most vulnerable state: before it had awakened. Not knowing which planets contained titan world-souls, the void lords then hurled their creations out through the Great Dark Beyond, hoping that some would smash into a nascent titan. The Old Gods began contaminating mortal worlds and everything else they touched in their blind search for a world-soul" Realistically they can do a lot, but I will note. This explanation mentions they came from the Void LORDS not Lord. So at the very least, they could say that the Old Gods each came from a different Void Lord or something like that. Whether or not this origin will change.. I mean.. Yeah.. Also wanted to say thank you for uploading this on KZbin, it was a fantastic watch on both here & Accolonns channel, run them both all the way through so you both get the full view. It's awesome content & to watch you guys talk. Really hope you both do more in the future & appreciate what you both do.

What I love about WoW, and in a way, also ESO, is the choice behind which narratives you can pursue, with nobody to force your hand on the "adventure" you take on your character. There's a level of freedom that I have in WoW & in ESO that FFXIV (and plenty of mainstream RPGs) don't offer me. I love the cartoonish, sandbox nature to WoW where I can choose a task and hyperfocus on it until I've met my targets for that session, and in the process, I'm able to freely explore everywhere, treating the world as my own parkour map. I've always said that if I wanted to watch a movie, I'd put a DVD on or go to the local cinema. If I want to read a story, I'll prefer to pick up a book. Therefore, if I want to game, I want to play a game that is solely gameplay first and the developers let the story be discoverable to those who actually give a damn without bogging down the people who are just there for the endgame stats. My interest in WoW, and its books, comes from my curiosity. I wanted to learn more about the lore and I like to speculate, so naturally, I desired to collect the books, both for the art and also for the tidbits I might pick up. If anything, I find it easier to concentrate on books because I'm not straining myself in front of a monitor, with distracting sounds and threats of combat, so the novels always read better than anything in-game text will. If it isn't the novels, I've always trusted Nobbel and other lore channels to provide visuals & audio, once again, in an environment where I can choose if I care enough or not to pursue those topics. Its also worth noting that a Vulpera NPC at the hideaway/hideout (where the quartermaster is in Vol'dun) actually hints, in their dialogue, to the vulpera being on another continent.

Vryanoth should've been brought back into the fold differently. I get the Fryakk lesser of two evils crap..... She should've gone up to Alextraza. I can't stand by my brother but I still don't trust you. I'll be watching your actions in the future and make my judgement. You are not MY queen.

Put the personal character stories into books and charge less. Put the narrative of large globally important stories within the game alongside the lore, just keep throughlines and pace it better... and charge less.

At the end you guys talk about the possibility of the titans and godlike beings not remembering or knowing their origins. reminds me of the Demiurge in Gnosticism, who believes himself to be the creator of the universe, but he's not and is an evil tyrannical god.

-THIS- is the kind of shit I lurk for! I still really think wow should make a streamline main-questline leveling experience that explains all main plotbeat lore including the removed between expansion events and maybe a solo dungeon/raid experience for newcomers to get all the main events and characters in their knowledge. It's just not new person friendly at all and the lore of WoW (even retconned and change) has always been interesting and one of the biggest appeals of wow!
