What's funny, is that Q&Q have been around for a modern while, but seeing these two for the money, well I couldn't split them :-P Was fun to learn these watches, and I really didn't use the manual that much, I just enjoy discovering what it can do on my own... there's some original reactions in this video, as it really was making me P and Mrs Rangeman thought I had rented another massage session booking in secret... Q&Q's she came out with when I said it was twins LML :-P

I couldn't decide whether to spend £6.99p or to double it and get both... well for me to make the fullest I had to get the nod from Mrs Rangeman LML :-P I can't believe how much it can do, and that animation on the NelePhant was fun to see... I could see this being a great novelty watch for a huge age range, and having a melody on the wrist isn't a common thing these day, not even smart phones have this capability :-P Cheers for the feedback and support my dear friend :))

Though the screen could be better as it washes out too quickly if you tilt the watch and there are some misleading things such as Electroluminescent backlight which this doesn't have. But all in all, its a great watch and Casio should also release a watch along these lines.

@@traviswalker8933 I think they use the labels on other models, and 100m is something I'm not going to try LML :-P The LCD isn't that bad when looking head on, but does bleed at an angle, but hey, it's totally usable and fun the most important... I would wear this at a watch meeting, I bet you it'll get more attention over a cold steel 60/40% lump of cheese LML :-P

It certainly has that 80's style, and it would look great in a more solid metal case, but oddly doesn't feel as cheap as I thought... buttons work nicely and with all it can do was just wonder of its own. It'll be a watch that I'll wear to watch meetings, just to bring something with musical talent LML ;-P Cheers ;)

I see what you did there, very clever.... the amount of thought behind these to make them work how they do, just doesn't add up to the cost they sell them for... that backlight was insane, and even though it's not heavy quality, the buttons felt solid.... not sure about the 100m water rating LML :-P

Absolutely bonkers watch! I used to have a q&q smile solar that was supposed to be water resistant to 20 Bar... I thought hey it's 25 euro... sounded too good to be true but why not? Of 'course it stopped working second time I took it swimming but I did have some fun with it, R.I.P.

I recall when I was at school a teacher of mine had a circular watch that had an elephant animation in the world time, up until now I thought it was a casio and I could not find it, maybe it was one of these after all

Sadly, none of these 'meganote' (cal p543/542) watch displayed anymore on the official jp site.. according to my local distributor, most meganote model has been discontinued, and the only remaining model sold brand new is mmw3, I suspect the only available now is the remaining stock from last batch.. hope they still continue to produce this watch..

Just having a search on that Grid Shock......... Ok I'm back... personally it's not my style, it just looks very wide screen... on my original channel I reviewed a few TIMEX watches, with one being like a G-Shock, but it had ((VIBE)) and you could custom the mode menu, and it was 200m water resistant too... this is the model number for the green version T49982 but I went for the Black, and this watch I gifted to a friend so he can time his rugby training :) Really good solid watch, and he still loves it. I had a melody TIMEX which this video is found in the playlist, but now I have one vintage TIMEX 1970 and a REEF TIMEX. I like them, and I did own one of their Intelligent Quartz watches which had a Pepsi bezel, and I've not found another since, so might've been a limited version??? My friend, it's about your choice and not about anyones opinion, and to be honest, I've not seen one in the hand, and it's because it's not my style. My reviews are based upon what I would buy or own mostly, and this Grid TIMEX just doesn't sit right on my eye. You'll have to hunt for a few reviews and see what it's like on film, and how the modes are for you, and if you love it, then enjoy, and you won't get any negativity from me :) Hope that helps you my friend :)

For non solar G-Shocks especially the newer versions, the display will show either 'LOW' or a battery icon as on the GG-B100. You'll find this in the manual... just search CASIO with the module number which is on the back of the watch in a rectangle box usually... then look for the PDF version. G-Central have these too just to add :)

I have one databank and world time version..and get horrible display on it.some times get blur on the lcd but not battery problem..just shame for that product.

I would guess it's a lucky draw at this price level, but the battery alone is worth £1.50p at least, as both have the 2032 RENATA's which was a lovely treat... I've got them as I'm curious about Q&Q and wanted to see what their cheapest are like, so when I go for something with a little more heft in price, I'm not disappointed... the name 'Q&Q' reminds me of an old 80's computer brand :) When you say blurr, that's not from bubble bath steam?

Original maxell 2032 in mine was almost expired so it killed the display when backlight pressed. New battery sorted it. Make sure you fit a good battery & remember to short out the two cct board dots with tweezers or a paper clip to reset the cpu (as shown on the battery cover).
