This documentary covers a homecoming event for Jacob ‘Angeli’ Chansley, a.k.a. the ‘qAnon Shaman,’ a Trump supporter who was sentenced to 41 months in Prison for his role in the Capitol on January 6. He was released in May 2023 and this video was filmed in Phoenix, Arizona around a week after his release.

Interviews he did immediately upon release showed a much more tame and withdrawn Chansley. It's pretty clear he didn't get the attention he wanted so he amped that shit back up while also accepting money to speak at these batshit insane conferences being held every couple of weeks for the diehard Q crowd. It's in his best interest to act like he's a larger, louder version of who he was, every time he's seen.

@@PurePessimismyour name is very fitting. I think it's a good thing you pointed this out. Those actions he did should not be forgotten, and he should answer for what he has done to those women. I also think that if we want a better society, not only do we have to hold people accountable for their transgressions, we have to allow for them to continue to be a meaningful part of society. Rehabilitation is better than punishment. If we want more sentencing besides death or exile, we need the capacity to accept that these transgressors exist. I don't think that means everyone has to like or forgive someone for their transgressions, but I do think guilt by association or never being able to more than your worst actions will ultimately cause more issues than it solves. But I really do mean it when I say thank you for reminding us about what he has done. Very few of these comments are taking any of this into account, and what he did should not be forgotten.

@@BrySmiwhy not a trailer park? You think natives are the only group capable of living in squalor? I fail to see any aboriginals going back to living like their ancestors and retaking their culture. Instead i see them all lining up at McDonalds like everyone else so why would I feel sorry for them specifically? As if they're the only ones in history to experience a difficult life. Life is hard. Why anyone feels entitled to sympathy and hand outs like it would improve your situation need a stark reality check. Weaponized sympathy. For more hand outs. Hand outs cure nothing. I could give a homeless man 10,000$ today and he would be dead tomorrow, not everything is cured by EXCESS. How about COMMUNITY ever heard of that?! the thing that so many groups fail to establish? A sense of togetherness, a sense of being able to talk to one another and express stresses? You go to these "reserves" and these trailor parks you see the same shit- division- individuals- you have no neighbors- you have rumors and whispers and animosity. You have crack head one, fighting over prostitute two in trailer 1 and 3, and trailer 4 creating the crack for the crack head, and trailer 5 who is ratting on them all to the police who do nothing because they can't it solves nothing to imprison these people. and they all have the SAME THING in common...a lack of community and family. Most of every single person in those situations have trauma from abusive families that feed these self destructive behaviors. but instead of contructing strong communities we ABANDON THEM. they abandon themselves too.

From experience I can tell you prison is absolutely not for rehabilitation. They throw you in there, make you fend for yourself, make you find some way to kill time, etc. They do nothing for you. Hell, seeing the nurse for a couple Ibuprofen is $20, where I am at least. When you're in there, you are nothing but a number on a sheet of paper to them. They don't WANT to rehabilitate you, so that you will most likely come back, meaning even more money for the state. It's sad. Once during 30 days I had to do in county, this homeless guy left and came back maybe less than a week after he left. Jail is only good for housing the homeless.

I did 18 months is Solitary confinement. I beat up a bully for trying to take a young man's soup. I still have moments that make me stop and think about how hard it was. The mental side, Despair, regret, sadness, touch, connection. The moments that me kept moving forward where just knowing I had people that loved me. I heard this man from the interview choke up talking about his life and what made himinto the person he is. Being put into a cell really hurts people with good hearts that walk the thinnest line... who cares about Trump or Biden, Tom, Dick, or Harry. It's about the person next to you. The old man sitting in the corner. The old lady you showing her favorite recipe. We are all looking for our place. Sit down, listen to wise old people and be thankful for years you have had so far. ❤️

The irony of him not realizing how much fake news he has bought into is thick. It's crazy to me how many hoops they jump through to avoid admitting the obvious truth... Q Anon is bullshit. None of their claims ever came true, there was no storm. Every single one of their specific predictions have been proven false. But instead of admitting that, it's "are you familiar with the occult?" They keep every single unfalsifiable claim (blood libel, demonic rituals, etc.) but drop everything else. What they confidently believe one day is "misinformation" the next. They make up bullshit claims and then they blame the government when they don't come true. Oh, that thing I was 100% confident about? Turns out it was government disinformation.
