@JG-ct9kq If you truly knew your history, you wouldn't say this. Every territory on Earth, excluding Antarctica, was forcibly taken from someone else hundreds of times. If the European settlers that established the original 13 colonies didn't fight the British monarchy for their independence in the 1770s, France, Spain, Russia, or England would've established it as their territory. Beginning in the 15th century, after discovering that there was a North american continent, it was inevitable that any one of the European countries were going to plant their flag here. The indigenous population was doomed 500 yrs ago to be conquered. It could've been much worse. Other countries had plans to completely wipe them out forever. But here we are listening to fireworks at 2:30 AM. Because this is reservation property, we're held at bay and we have legislated law that keeps us from stopping this activity. So anyway... Happy independence day!

If you or I purchased land anywhere near homes and then ran a buisness or caused a nuisance like this it would drive down surrounding property value. The color of the skin wouldn't matter. Now if the Indians instead of opening a firework stand built real-estate really nice homes next to those houses and it was nice and quite it would increase the value of the surrounding properties. A friend lives on the county side of this and says it's a nightmare living there now. They're lighting fireworks, playing insanely loud music, driving four-wheelers, etc at all hours of the night and into the morning. Tribal police do absolutely nothing. I think it's pretty irresponsible of the news station to report an allegation of threats made to a neighbor without actually verifying first if it actually happened or not. Oh I so feel for those individuals.. I used to live in South Auburn right next to a tribal land & once a year it was HORRIBLE! Fireworks all night long & LOUD! I have PTSD grew up in Los Angeles as a kid. There needs to be an area were if ppl want to get their fireworks on then they can, while others can live in peace. The State government should have seen this coming when they gave the tribe the land. There is nothing MORE STUPID than teenagers driving around throwing fireworks from the car to supposedly celebrate the 4th of July. What could go wrong? A parked car catching on fire? Said parked car now rolling into a driveway rushing towards a house? At the last moment said car veered into a landscape boulder and was prevented from hitting the house. Luckily people awoke and pitched in to put the fire out. Now as for the Puyallups, unfortunately one day there will be a tragic event that will happen on their tribal land WHICH will cause the Tribe to re=think their anything goes policy. He wants to suggest it's because the tribe is taking their land back and some people aren't comfortable with that; What does that have to do with blasting fireworks all night disturbing the home owners/neighbors? If the tribe wants to be good neighbors, they need to set quiet hour limits on that land at least until 4th of July. I used to live across from the Muckleshoot casino & land where for weeks before 4th of July fireworks going off every night; but it didn't bother me. I see it as a once a year thing; but I can understand how neighbors are worried about fires and some don't sleep well with all that noise.

Simple solution for the mayor make it illegal for the possession of fireworks. Steak a cop out in front of the tribal land and every time somebody leaves that land pull them over and take their fireworks away and slap them with either a fine or a light sentence. I bet things will come to an end in a matter of no time they say we have no say on their land they have no say on this land.

lmao yeah I think you are right haha, the gas stations like Tahoma market has always been cheaper. Does suck though if you gotta hear that firework at 2 or 3 in the morning but just gotta say to yourself "Just deal with it, its only a few days". Thats what I say to myself.

My puppy is terrified of them, this is my first 4th of July with him because I got him on the 21st of July last year. The fireworks started two nights ago in my neighborhood, and will get worse every night until about the 5th or 6th 😢🐶

Calming pills are melatonin, a NATURAL hormone found in the brain that aids in the sleep wake cycle. I didn't say vet where you get prescription drugs. How do you not know this as a pet parent?
