Qantas A330-200 Perth to Sydney

Perth airport is quite nice. They have been renovating the international terminal for over a year now, and it looks fantastic inside and out. The new Virgin Australia terminal is nice, and they are just overall upgrading Perth airport to accommodate Perth's expected growth and tourist rate.

Yes. Every seat has an iPad instead of a built in screen except for Business Class which has large built in screens.

Awesome video, you know I've been waiting for this. I gotta say when you walked around the cabin, it didn't look appealing it all with cord all over the place, iPads not filling up the whole panel and some iPad there and some not. Overall I think qantas should of just put in what the A330-300's have. I fly on these aircraft a lot to get from coast-to-coast, so I wasn't that happy seeing a messy cabin. Still... I think your flight reviews are awesome to watch and make me feel like I'm in the flight, especially when you put that relaxing background music on, it makes your reviews feel special. To be honest, not a big fan of iPads for ifes, especially when you can just use your own full sized iPad in contrast to the mini, which is more personal, in conclusion I prefer the seatbacks :)

The last few times I've flown Perth to east or back I've only got a small box containing about 100g of really crap food plus a packet of broken crackers and cheese. Same as Virgin except you only get a box the same size of shitty food.

Hi Jess. For under 2hrs Jetstar is OK. The seats are comfy, not too much legroom, but you have to pay for any drinks or food.

Great video mate. But does anyone know if QF42 is an a330-200 or an a330-200-300 as Qantas says it's an a330-300 while everyone else says it's an a330-200. I know the obvious answer is what the airlines says but I just wanted to double check

+Eloise Hamer The iPads are part of the aircraft entertainment system. You don't pay extra for them but you cant take them off the aircraft either. They aren't yours to keep!

All food services on domestics flights to Perth are officially international meal service. Its cheapy to fly anywhere but in Australia is far more expensive ,and thats okay! I need the service n meals to match that airfares.Flying from Perth to CANBERRA is approximately $800.Again thats fine But the meals n services must be good.

Now that you have lasted 4 hours, try 8 at the next opportunity. The refurbished seats on the A330-300s are great and the screens while they are not Ipads are excellent for long haul flights. My flights between BNE and HKG were on these aircraft and given the opportunity i would fly on them again.

It seems from a guy in the USA's perspective-you guys have EPIC domestic transcon economy! Widebodies, good comfy seats AND FOOD! We get comfy seats snacks and tv/wifi from JetBlue but if you want food on a 5-6 hour transcon, you've gotta shell out $2000-5000 one way for the biz class or first class lie flats(IF they even have them!). US domestic economy is horrendously horrible as far as most carriers are concerned!
