In the bar final, Qiu and Nemour both had 6.7 difficulty scores. Qiu won bcs her execution score was 8.400 while Nemour’s was 8.333. They were both capable of higher D scores if they had connected more skills.

Unpopular opinion: I thought Kaliya was overscored, with many issues with handstands and leg separations issues. Compared to the near-perfect handstand that Qiu brought. I thought that should have been better.

@@Eromosele1-v6j You’re right. She also had flexed feet too here and there throughout her routine. Having said that, her swing is flawless and her unbelievable connections definitely have a wow factor which could have influenced the judges.

Nemours has the highest difficulty in the world, but in finals she did not complete a connections and...it is the connections between her namesake skill the Nemours= inbar to reverse hecht in layout. and then she didn't connect it into her pak!!!

Nemour was rubbed of the gold ,how can the Chinese girl with no connection skill outscore her and nemour had a great routine with two connections but was able to perform of it and still ended up with a silver

in elite they arent more generous bc a girl sticks her landing, she had only 0.1 for the hop, nemour had others penalties

I know lol they aren’t suppose to be more generous anywhere, but sometimes judges will be biased I think, and forget about the rest of the routine when they see us dismount lol especially in the NCAA

I think for an expert and coach in gymnastics this shouldn't even be a question. D + E was fairly higher for Qiu.

@@Ayybraiebraie Ok. I understand, but your title directly turns her medal as if its earning was controversial, as if we should take a side on she winning or Kayla being robbed. One doesn't do that in front of an athlete of such caliber, imagine doing the same with Simone. It happens so that Qiu is one of the best in the world at the same level. So I think "analysis of que UB final", etc would be best. ☺️

As a matter of fact, two athletes being tight in a final in WAG and the little tens of difference being decided but a slightly higher E score, or D score, is a very common thing in gymnastics. I don't see why we should be discussing that in particularly with Qiu.
