I've now seen this fascinating video THREE times, because every time, I notice something else! Being in my 70's now, I can remember not only the CARS - but you pointed out, on a train, that there was STEAM heating under the seat! I don't remember actually reading the sign that says so, but I DO actually remember the heating spread well. It must be a good place to put your CHIPS , under the seat, on your way home, to keep them warm!

Hi Alex, excellent Rover show, I remember the one you did last year as well. Spoilt for choice there, Rover did build some lovely cars, and they were built properly as well. I always liked the 2 tone grey midels, they looked really classy. I had a great uncle who had one. He used to keep a range of sweets and chocolate bars in the glove compartment because he was a rep' for Mars of Slough...one of the popular sweets were Spangles, 5 different fruit flavours, double wrapped to keep the freshness in and the dirt out...that was their tag line...memories eh? That coach was nice, I used to like those. That steam railway was working well, that loco' and coaching stock were former Great Western. I think the loco was an extended Prairie... Shame about the dent in Jessie's passenger door, you obviously have a forgiving nature...if that had been me I would have been really annoyed. As ever, take care, Jon B. 😀

Great entertainment Alex, Fantastic show and that Bedford coach looked like it had the biggest cheesy grin ever. The old vehicles had so much character compared to todays vehicles.

I'm SO glad to see the marvellous CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE! One of my favourite cars! Yes, you're right, Mercedes under the surface - but much scrummyer!

Another place not too far away from me that I've never visited. I must say that the split colour paint really suits those old cars. I really liked the blue one with matching blue leather seats. Camera extension has proved it's worth for filming the train journey and some good high up shots. Pretty dress Alex. Looks like you had a good time and Remi had a much needed snooze in the car 😊

To the DeadStig By the way, do you realise, the Chinese made Rovers , spellt ROEWE, are spellt in GERMAN, (so it still sounds like ROVER, ) Because Ford had bought up the NAME Rover, to prevent their rivals, Rover continuing. They weren't interested in continuing Rover themselves. But the Chinese were too crafty, and got round things by spelling the name the German way! (Eat that, Ford!)

The Rover 90, locked in a garage for 40 years, at least has not suffered from as much USE, as a result!

29:38 Looks like a really nice gathering. Not full of that MG ZS/ZR crowd with their loud exhausts or smelly diesels. 😂

Oh, that VDP Rover Limousine, with the drop down DVD player, etc. proves how foreign companies valued our designs, and improved on them! Shame on our own country! This car shoud definately be hired out for weddings, etc. - a definate rarity in this country that could be a MONEYSPINNER!

Incidentally Alex, being "psychic", I have fathomed that YOUR P4 is called JESSIE, on account of the number plate, JSJ. BUT, why is your P6 called Mr. Jenkins?
@Alexsassets15 күн бұрын
Mr Jenkins was the 1st and only previous owner. So i believe the car is a true Jenkins
@nygelmiller529315 күн бұрын
to Alex. OH! Now I'm out of my misery, because I know why the car IS called Mr.Jenkins! (Previously, I had been wasting away)
@nygelmiller529315 күн бұрын
ACTUALLY, regarding whether the sports car was an MG F, or TF! Because the front has been facelifted, and has SLOTS in it - that makes it a "T" F!
