I can imagine why the bacon appetizer was so yummy. I mean sweet; spicy & savory is a good combo. Plus the textures in that dish seem really fun:)

Yeah there are a lot of interesting connections! Also the Smith & Wollensky in NYC is not owned by the people who own the others around the world. Haha it was pretty good!

Great video once again! To follow-up on a comment to a prior video, I would not be surprised if that steak were cooked sous vide. The color is too uniform, and the char is indicative of rapid searing. No big deal, just an observation... Keep up the great work!
@travelfuller7 ай бұрын
Thanks and you might be right! We've been more aware of it since making that video but some restaurants do a much better job of hiding it than others. This one was seared almost perfectly!
@dennisburby85857 ай бұрын
I would never try that appetizer(bacon & peanut butter?), but you convinced me . Then I consider the price. $28!!! Ingredients look like they might cost less than $2. The rest of your meals look pretty damn good.

Great review guys! Isn't Wollensky a Polish surname? Is he's any good at making pierogies or pigs in a blanket? I wonder what alcohol pairs with bacon? Obviously your not at a Kosher or Halal certified eatery. LOL Cheers from sunny Florida.
@travelfuller7 ай бұрын
Apparently Smith & Wollensky were two names he randomly chose from a phone book! Haha that’s a good question. Maybe mezcal because it’s smokey
@miszced7 ай бұрын
I don't think a real scorpion at the bottom of every bottle of high end Mezcal would do any bacon justice. LOL

A $95 dry aged tomahawk should need need sauce or truffle butter. My experience at this place was average with the steak having no dry aged umami. This is probably why they want you to jazz up the steak. Wouldn't be surprised if they use Pat LaFrieda meats which are overrated.
