Lady Gaga got to be one of the smartest artists ever. She knew how to shift the public's attention from her personal life and make people pay attention to her art. Since the beginning, no one cared who she was dating or making love to or her breakups or her body weight and physique ... People were always eager to see what she's gonna do next during her appearances and performances and music videos. I can't think of any other artist that mastered it like her in the recent years.
@gushernandez254 жыл бұрын
This is why I argue that Lady Gaga made pop music relevant again. People were simply more invested in her. She shifted the face of pop in its state in 2009.
@ridalaamoumi65154 жыл бұрын
@@gushernandez25 exactly. She has an interview from 2008 when she was starting where she said something about how "it is so intense to be a super fan in pop music, it's been lost somehow, if there's anything she ever wants is to bring that back". And yes she did. She knew exactly what she was doing.
@Hugo-G3 жыл бұрын
She did that in a very important pop culture moment. It was right after Britney's public meltdown, as well as Lindsey Lohan's, Paris Hilton, etc. Celebrity culture was just an ongoing form of reality TV. Gaga brought the general public's interest back to music and art so that future pop stars could reap the rewards. Of course pop stars are still picked apart by their personal lives, but many artists have been able to rise without as much public scrutiny. Lorde, Sia, Adele, Lana Del Rey, Billie Eilish, and Dua Lipa, are some pop stars that come to mind that have taken inspiration from Lady Gaga by diverting people's attention away from their personal life with their art.

What distinguishes Gaga from the rest is her ability to be multifaceted. She can sing, dance, write, play several instruments, produce, direct, act, perform well live, and the list can literally go on. That type of talent is rare, and often not fully appreciated until they're old or have passed.

And the way he was inspired by so many things including his fave performers, martial arts, militaries in his performance was underappreciated. I love you for creating this video essay. I've argued for and stood by her genius artistry since 2009. You could endlessly analyse her work in various ways because it is so layered and deep - but as the video ends, I am tearful. Because in the end, it has all been about being yourself. About celebrating, you. Since the very beginning it has been about self-love, which was what I now realize made a teenage metal head fall in love with her work instantly 11 years ago. Who else does that. Thank you for reminding us and creating this for us to enjoy

you're not alone, i'm a metalhead too and i love her, her sense of attitude and artistry is marvelous, sincere and soulful, she gained respect from a lot of metal artist too, and also from the goth scene specially, she even say that some of her songs are written like metal songs but created with pop elements, and i totally catch that, the synths on Judas for example, resemble guitar riffs so much, you'd be surprised how easy is to make a guitar cover out of it.

Lady Gaga has managed to showcase her artistry and creativity with fashion and her music. To this day I don’t remember not one time where Gaga has been involved in personal scandals. It is amazing how she has been able to control her personal life with her career. People have always been interested in her looks and fashion but her true little monsters were the ones that cared for her music and yes her fashion as well. During that time of pop culture, people were still in the trend of following Gaga’s outfits and rage that she was giving her fans and audience. The audience and even fans were expecting her to keep up with the pop music she was creating. When Joanne came, the audience and fans were quite disappointed that she backed off pop music. Although fans felt that she might not belong in that genre of music like Joanne, she managed to keep her personal life unknown which is amazing. People began to learn about their family through Joanne but without scandal. She is the start of modern pop until now that she is still creating art with the release of her Chromatica Ball Tour in which little monsters were long awaiting Gaga to come back. She literally had choreography with most of her performances for each song. She is pure art and kindness.
